Can walk over tileset that is set to X?

Hi everyone,

I'm still new here and just starting to learn how to use RPG Maker MV. Apologies in advance if I'm posting this in the wrong forum. Is this the correct place to post asking for help using RMMV?

Anyway, I am making a castle map and still learning about mapping indoor spaces. I used the grey brick tile but for some reason even though it's set to X, my character can walk on the walls-- but only if they approach from the bottom up. I'm including a screenshot of the map with the character walking on the walls, plus a screenshot of the tileset page from the database. The tile here I believe is the one 7th from the top on the far lefthand column. I haven't changed any settings for movement on the tilesets.

Any advice would be much appreciated. It's possible I will remap this entirely. I need to spend some time learning how to map better scenes but for now I'm just trying to figure out this little glitch.

For those particular tiles, that's actually an intended effect. The brick tiles below them are intended for walls, while those are intended for the tops of walls. It's built that way so that if you put a ladder on the wall, the player can walk on top of it, while still not being able to walk on it normally.

I spent some more time mapping and figuring out how the different tiles work and realized what I'd done wrong. :)

I'm so happy that I got Steam achievements to work in my game, thanks in large part to the posts by other RPG Maker devs on this issue!
