cannot read property 'height' of undefined

Title is pretty self explanatory. But I will explain the scenario in which this occurs so you guys have a better idea.


The thing is, I have a dungeon. And in front of that dungeon is a NPC that you can optionally talk to and add to your party to explore the dungeon with.


If you decide to explore with her, you are instantly teleported to inside the dungeon. If you decide to exit while with her, she leaves the party and returns


to her original place outside of the dungeon, and will be available to explore again. However, my problem is.. Inside the dungeon, when fighting with the


optional character in my party, I have no problems. I only got 1 of the error in the title, and it never came up again. If i decide to enter the dungeon alone,


however.. I ALWAYS 100% get the god damn error in the title. I'd like to know what this error is and any solutions. Much appreciated

Alright this is insanely weird. Did one battle and no error. Got the error at second. Seems the error occurs randomly.


This really annoys me :/ Hope you can help EDIT: For your info,  I got the error when fighting bats.

By the greatest chance, are you using the SV_Bat battler as an enemy? (with the <Sideview Battler: SV_Bat> notetag?)


Insert <Sideview Height: 192> in the enemy notetag


add <Sideview Width: 192> too to avoid problems.


Tell me if it works!


If you're using Aekashics bat battler, please refer to their standard height and width.

Sadly, Yanfly's plugin isn't commented at all, so it's not so easy to trace back the error. Does it still happen, if you disable the plugin (animated sideview enemies)?


If so, please post the new error. If not, i would recomment going over to Yanfly's thread and post there:

Nope. I'm using the default bat. With no notetags except the breathing from Animated Enemies. I also tried your suggestion about the Height And Width. Still errors. Uuuuuuugh. Thanks for trying, I guess :/ Got the very same errors on console as I posted above. Nothing changed :c

Yup. Still got my lovely error. It seems like its being caused by the battle engine core, and if i disable it basically most things are gone.. But I'm no expert, so please take a look at the error.. Is there a way of fixing this?

Try disabling the animated enemies, but leave everything else enabled. Does it still happen then? If so the error is related to the battler you are using.


Edit: I checked the script more, and you need a full SV sprite for each and every enemy you use, else the script will not work. So the default sprites can't be used for the script. That is probably your problem.

Yeah, sorry 'bout the wrong forum. Also. I already checked beforehand. My plugins are up-to-date.




 2 of the ones I used can be found here. (Made by Yanfly) (I used Battle Engine Core and Animated Sideview Battlers from Yanfly)


I believe the next plugin has nothing to do with the error, however, it can be found here.

I already answered the first question, yes it still does happen.


About the edit.. That was what I was afraid of. Alright. Thanks to all of you. Guess this can be closed when the oppurtunity arises.

I highly disagree with the affirmation saying that you need SV_animated battlers for every enemy. That's basically what the breath notetag is here for: so the static SV_enemies get a tiny animation effect. Try to find your answer in Yanfly's thread someone up there linked to, because you're supposed to be able to make your static Bat breath.
Sadly i don't use the breath notetag so i can't really help, try to see what might be the problem with it? (or stuck to the default breath in the plug-in parameters for now).

Just beat the last of us 2 last night and starting jedi: fallen order right now, both use unreal engine & when I say i knew 80% of jedi's buttons right away because they were the same buttons as TLOU2 its ridiculous, even the same narrow hallway crawl and barely-made-it jump they do. Unreal Engine is just big budget RPG Maker the way they make games nearly identical at its core lol.
Can someone recommend some fun story-heavy RPGs to me? Coming up with good gameplay is a nightmare! I was thinking of making some gameplay platforming-based, but that doesn't work well in RPG form*. I also was thinking of removing battles, but that would be too much like OneShot. I don't even know how to make good puzzles!
one bad plugin combo later and one of my followers is moonwalking off the screen on his own... I didn't even more yet on the new map lol.
