Cannot read property of 'tilesetNames' of null

I just installed HIME's Pretitle Events plugin and it works great. I also have a custom pause menu via common events (not sure if this is important or not). When I try to pause and resume the game, I get this error: Cannot read property of 'tilesetNames' of null.


I turned off the plugin and everything works fine, so Im assuming the issue has something to do with it. I also moved the plugin to the top of the list hoping that would fix it, but it didnt. 


I read somewhere that just starting a new game will work, but I figured Id ask about other solutions.


Any help would be most appreciated. 


EDIT:
It also happens when I try to exit to the main menu from the pause menu.


Only on certain maps though, which is weird...

does it only happen in the pre-title or after the game begins too?

After the game begins. Only when trying to go back to the main menu from my evented pause menu. I am using the event command "Return to Title Screen".


But because of the plugin, It should take me directly to the map I chose in the Plugin Paramaters.

That is correct, because a lot of plugins change the data in the savefiles, making all older savefiles incompatible.


And the "new game" option creates a new savefile in the required new format with the new data already included.


If a plugin needs a new game to function (which is every larger or more complex plugin), that that is neccessary and there is no other solution than starting a new game.

So, you think if I delete all the old save files (from the save folder) and start a new game and make new save files, the issue will be fixed?

you don't have to delete old savefiles, you just can't use them.


So test if the game works on new game without deleting the old savefiles, because while that is the common cause in 80% of all cases, it could also be an incompatibility between two scripts.

Just started a new game. There is an autorun cutscene that plays right in the beginning. If I pause the game during the cutscene, then quit to menu I get the error. But, if I wait until all autoruns are done and I have control over the character, it works fine.

...weird, but simple to lock the player from acssing the menu until it is over and unlocking at the end.

Yeah, I was gonna do that. 
But since I only tested the beginning of the game, is there any reason to think that this issue would happen again at any other point, or should I just deal with it on a case-by-case basis?

I suggest you notify Hime and see if there's a solution.  Also, putting the plugin name in the title of your thread would be very useful to those trying to help you.

Hello! I would like to know if there are any pluggings or any way to customize how battles look?
