Hi guys, sry for my bad english.


I bought rpg maker mv some days ago. It's on V1.3.1.


I want to convert the game (or at least a Testgame) to APK fpr Android.


It doesn't work for me at all.


What i've tried:


Converting with XDK with encodet RPGMakerMV-Resources:

  • on XDK-Simulator: It opens the App and it works - but doesn't play Sound at all. Same Version i download for Bluestacks and my Smartphone i get the Error:
  • created APK on Smartphone: Error: Failed to load img/system/IconSet.png
  • created APK on Bluestacks: I get an Error: Failed to load img/system/IconSet.png



Converting with XDKwithtout encodet RPGMakerMV-Recources:

  • on XDK-Simulator: Error: Failed to load audio/bgm/Theme.m4a
  • created APK on Smartphone: Error: Failed to load audio/bgm/Theme.m4a
  • created APK on Bluestacks: Error: Failed to load audio/bgm/Theme.m4a



Converting with RPGMakerManuals like on the Help Page (java/SDK/Phyton/crosswalk/ant/and the right systempaths):  withtout or with encodet RPGMakerMV-Recources:

  • created APK on Smartphone: Error: Failed to load img/system/IconSet.png
  • created APK on Bluestacks: I get an Error: Failed to load img/system/IconSet.png



Just good to know: the files IconSet.png and Theme.m4a exist.


What's the reason for the errors? And why can i just run it on XDK Simulator when i encode it, but without sound but later on not on my smartphone or Bluestacks because of the Error??

are you really sure about this? Because you might have run afoul of a windows problem here.


MV follows networking rules for filepaths.


That basically means that


iconset.png IconSet,png and IconSet.PNG are three different files.


Unfortunately, windows has functions to override capitalisation to load all those three files if one of them exists.


So basically if the engine is looking for a file named IconSet.png, and the real filename is IconSet.PNG, then it will load under windows but not after deployment to mobiles, to web or to MacOS, because for those system they're different files.

Thanks man. But i can't find the problem.


Something was wrong with my project, i just copied it into a new one. Lot of work, but now it works.
