When I choose to compress game data and select "Create Encrypted Archive", I end up with a broken game.

Basically, when you try to play it, you get the "Script 'Cache' line 106: RGSSError occured" error.

For some reason, it seems as if none of the images that we created for our project are being transferred into the Encrypted project or something to that extent. When we compress the game data and opt out the Encryption, the game works fine.

Does anyone here have experience with this problem, that can help me resolve this issue?

How did you use the pictures?

RGSS knows two script functions to load data from files, and one of them can't access the encryptions.

The error you describe sounds as if you use a script that loads the pictures, but uses the wrong function for this.

The default event commands should all work without problems.

Well, the number one Suspect would probably be Mog's animated title screen, since the game crashes the moment it starts, but I've used that script on another project with no problems.

I'm also using the Luna Engine, plus some other scripts that don't have anything to do with images.

Edit: How can I tell if a script is using the wrong function?

Another Edit. I just don't understand what's wrong with this. I've tried deleting the script that controls the animated title screen, reverting back to the normal title. I've deleted several scripts to see if they could be the culprit and it's always the same error.

Even when I'm running the game with the default title menu, using a default background picture from RPG maker and not an image that we made, we still get that same error.

Ok.... Left with no other option, I decided to create a fresh project from the start and painstakingly move pieces of my main project over to the new one, create Compressed and Encrypted versions of that and play it, to see if I could recreate the error.

I finally found what was causing the crash.

I had two images named IconSet. One that was a png file and one Paint.net image file. It seems that when I encrypted the game, it must have confused the Paint.net file with the png file, which caused the crash. Removing it solved the problem.

Couple hours of work. Might use in my game as a secret find or something. Not sure. Fancy though no? :D
Holy stink, where have I been? Well, I started my temporary job this week. So less time to spend on game design... :(
Cartoonier cloud cover that better fits the art style, as well as (slightly) improved blending/fading... fading clouds when there are larger patterns is still somewhat abrupt for some reason.
