can't transport player after choices

hey i'm used rpg maker xp a couple of years ago and picked up again with the vx ace version.

but now i gave a big problem in my first serious game. i made a intro with pictures and text.

after a couple of text blocks you get to chose you're gender, after that you can chose you're class.

then you chose a name and u should port to another map to strat the game. it won't port me :/

can anybody help me?

Please post a screenshot of the event where the teleport doesn't work.

Usually if that happens, you either have an autorun active in a different event, or the map you're trying to port to doesn't exist anymore.

But there are other possible causes, and we need to see what you did to check for everything.

I was expecting it to be at the bottom.  Is that to a different map?  Events usually don't work too well if there's a mid-transfer to another map.

yes it's to another map. first i placed one after they inputted a name for there character but that didn't work. so i placed it before any of the choices

Your description and your event doesn't match - you said that the transport should be after the choices, but the command is before the choices.

You should test it by placing the transfer at the bottom - there are a few things that could go wrong when you're breaking the sequence with autoruns.

I don't know what the specific reason in this case is, but that sequence would have problems no matter how you look at it:

Map events are map-based, transfering to another map should disable all events from the previous map.

Are you 100% sure the transfer isn't happening?

Maybe it is you just forgot to fade in the screen or something.  I would double check that.

the last from the 3 choices works, both for boy and girl. the rest just keeps showing the picture

i forgot to delete the picture with the first 2 choices , i thought that i only had to delete after the last choice
