Hello everyone, it's me again!
I'm back with another question.

So in my game you are able to name your character.
I want a character to call out for the player in one event, so to create that effect, I want to capitalize the player's name.
However, MV doesn't really give the option to capitalize that, so I wanted to ask if someone knew a way to do so for that one message. After that message, I'd want the name to return back to the state the player wrote it.
I have found the same question being asked for Vx Ace already and tried my luck to use the script call I found there, but to no avail...

I hope someone knows what to do and can help me! Thank you very much!

@Pooky VX Ace and MV scriptlets cannot be used in the other due to the difference in programming languages. But, the basic idea is the same. Put the following in a Script Command in the event before the message :

Code:
var charName = $gameActors.actor(charId).name().toUpperCase();
$gameVariables.setValue(varId, charName );
Change 'charId' to the numerical id of the character you want to use. Also change 'varId' to the numerical id of the variable you want to store the uppercase name to. So, it will end up looking something like this :

Code:
var charName = $gameActors.actor(1).name().toUpperCase();
$gameVariables.setValue(15, charName );
Then you can use \V[varId] to output that name within the message.

Holy stink, where have I been? Well, I started my temporary job this week. So less time to spend on game design... :(
Cartoonier cloud cover that better fits the art style, as well as (slightly) improved blending/fading... fading clouds when there are larger patterns is still somewhat abrupt for some reason.
Do you Find Tilesetting or Looking for Tilesets/Plugins more fun? Personally I like making my tileset for my Game (Cretaceous Park TM) xD

Back in action to develop the indie game that has been long overdue... Final Fallacy. A game that keeps on giving! The development never ends as the developer thinks to be the smart cookie by coming back and beginning by saying... "Oh bother, this indie game has been long overdue..." How could one resist such? No-one c
