Introduction


Good morning, good afternoon, good evening or good night (depending on where you may be).


My name is Fireworker and while I've not been a prolific user of the forums, I've been working on a project for around a year now and have found myself at a point where to progress any further would require a little help from the scripting side of our community.


My game uses pencilcase27's Card Game Battle System which can be accessed here: http://www.rpgmakercentral.com/topic/26983-cardgame-inspired-skill-and-battle-system/


Cardgame Script Image (which I have attached below) will give you a brief overview of what a battle looks like in game.

While almost all of what I require works within the parameters of the script, there were a few features that I found were missing. Therefore, last November I recruited Kai Monkey and comissioned a few modifications to the script, all of which I can say work exactly as required. (For example, I required a minimum deck size and a method for restricting cards to specific classes). 


I don't use a large number of other scripts and the modifications I need are minimal (I hope).

An unnamed Script by Kai Monkey with my previous requests.


I am also looking into a few other Yanfly Ace scripts, especially when it comes to targeting, lunatic and state management but have not implemented anything else for the moment.



Script Request 


I am looking for the following add-ons to the Cardgame Skill Battle System:

  • Visual States: The script makes it so that you can no longer see States applied to your actors and I would like this aspect returned. The states work fine for the enemy units thanks to the Neo Gauge Ultimate Ace and VTS Enemy HP Bars. Not being able to see the states applied to your actors makes it nigh impossible to implement status effects properly as the lack of information severely hinders player's information of the current status of his characters.
  • Improved Menus and Options: Some of the options using the Cardgame Skill Battle System are very poorly made. Some effects that make you look through your deck for cards or make you choose a selection do not properly display tooltip information that would be helpful. Most of the issues are shown in Cardgame Script Image 2.



Furthermore, if a scripter is interested in continuing to work and assist on the project, a variety of small utility and UI changes could be requested in the future (personalized menu screen, revamped deck construction screen, etc) but these are not critical at the moment.


I am willing to come to a financial agreement for these requests and have used PayPal in the past when working with Kai Monkey on this project. 


Once an arrangement is made, I will share the game file and any required resources. I am also freely available for skype calls to organize the project.

Couple hours of work. Might use in my game as a secret find or something. Not sure. Fancy though no? :D
Holy stink, where have I been? Well, I started my temporary job this week. So less time to spend on game design... :(
Cartoonier cloud cover that better fits the art style, as well as (slightly) improved blending/fading... fading clouds when there are larger patterns is still somewhat abrupt for some reason.
Do you Find Tilesetting or Looking for Tilesets/Plugins more fun? Personally I like making my tileset for my Game (Cretaceous Park TM) xD
How many parameters is 'too many'??
