So I want to come up with a battle system similar to that of Paper Mario: Color Splash. Basically, in the game, you use attack cards to attack. The maximum times you can attack per turn is based on some variable. I also want to give the player the ability to "struggle" if they have no cards left in their inventory.
Basically, I want to be able to do this, except that you can't color your cards (only player turn is needed):
I understand that you aren't able to see what's going on on the gamepad. What's happening there is that the player is choosing what card(s) they want to play. In this game, you start with the use of only one card per turn, but get more card slots along the way.
You can buy these cards at a card shop. I don't want the battle spinner to be a thing.
