So in this thread I want to ask two things:
- I want my player to be able to only hold one item at a time, if he picks up a shield for example, I want his sword to drop. (Note drop, not dissappear)
- I want my player's items to be visible, like if he has a sword then he's holding one, and if he's carrying a box he has a box on top of him. Any plugins which can do that?

You could just use a combination of variables and a common event every time they interact with another event. Have it check whether something is in the inventory have it flip on a switch if there is, then have a conditional branch that asks if they want to remove the item in inventory to get the new item or else just pick up new item. As for the image changing you can just change the player image with a command in the event editor.

Maybe if you want player carring a box on player.
You may make a box as switch.

When press action that box (Switch)
1. That box (Switch) is transparent.
2. Change sprite of player to new sprite that player carry box over head.

Just saying, that if you want this kind of feature, then you have to prepare all the necessary graphic asset if you are familiar to how paper doll works. Because you don't expect the plugin to just simply slap the armor / weapon / item icon on your character, right?

hmm in exploring MZ with FOSSIL... I see I'll probably need to stick with MV for now as none of the menu altering plugins I use work on MZ lol. and I don't have the money to dump into what I would need in some cases to update plugins to their MZ versions. Everytime I think of converting, 5 or more reasons popup on why I shouldn't.
Hmm... Game has 91 views, 25 downloads, 5 reviews and netted me 7 additional followers. Meanwhile the image I posted just yesterday on Imgur to showcase it has 45,197 views. Interesting, I think I have a new advertising idea. Also Twitter? The post got 16 retweets, 20 likes, and 1,683 views.... And a whole 3 hits to my game, completely valueless. I am glad I did this game jam, this information is quite valuable.

I'm familiar with MZ thanks to jam now. I say it's a better working and looking MV. Lots of plugins too and FOSSIL helps alot. It's not bad.
