Caterpillar system for rpgmaker 2k3?

Is it possible for me to use a caterpillar script for rpg maker 2003? Im trying to make one of the protagonists follow the other for the rest of the game and the coding is sorta confusing hehe  :

Doing a caterpillar in RM2k is not easy. It took me hours to finally get it to work. You basically have to first make it that every time the hero inputs a key command then make the event move the direction the hero is moving. Then if you want the event to turn right after you turning right. You have to do an IF the hero moves right when event is facing up, then make event move up and then right. It really is not easy, I highly do not recommend it. Unfortunately back in the days before the new RPG Makers a person that could do a caterpillar system was highly respected, these days people won't even care.
