- Also potentially game-breaking: The prompt to jump down the hole after the boss fight doesn't appear again if the player chooses "No".

Fixed. Had to move the self switch to the "yes" section of the event so that it can replay if the player chooses no.

- Leaving the boss fight map to the south should transport the player to the save crystal map, but (s)he is instead transported one map further south.

Fixed. A long long time ago, I rearranged the location of that room and I never changed the transfer event.

- What's blocking my progress right now: I can't interact with the computer console in order to open the Sanctum's door (game-breaking, unless I'm doing something wrong).

This is a little baffling because I can't seem to find the problem. The event itself looks fine and it works when tested. It might be an issue with regions changing the player's floor level so I added the appropriate tag, but the event was working even before I made this change. I honestly can't seem to find anything that would make the event not work. At the very least, when you beat the boss and jump right down the hole, it should be working.

Thanks for being patient, though, this ended up being more complicated than I thought it would. The plugins work just fine, I just failed to set them up correctly to get the effect I need.

Thanks, I was finally able to complete the dungeon. When I first entered the Sanctum, though, I couldn't trigger the cutscene. It was only possible for me to trigger the cutscene by leaving and reentering the map, similar to what I said in my previous post about some pillars in the Ice Castle sometimes not working until leaving and reentering the map. Maybe not being able to open the Sanctum's door in the Ice Castle also falls into this category, which means not being able to leave and reenter this map was what made this issue game-breaking in the first place.

When I returned to the Ice Castle's boss room and then went back to the Save Crystal room, I noticed that I couldn't leave the room to either side. It could be worth it to check this room one more time.

Over the course of time, I developed some habits when playing JRPGs. For example, whenever I enter a new room, I immediately leave the room to be sure that I have the option of withdrawal. This is the first time this habit really bit me in the a**. :D

Hi.
When you search for Cutter and goes in to the secret path to get the chest,you can`t reach it because it`s blocked 2-3 steps in front of the chest. And when going back up you are blocked just the last step.Just before you comes up to the corridor again
, so it`s just to start over from the last save.

Entered this area twice. My character becomes immovable,although, the npc is moving (in place - walking, stepping)

Also, I see only 2 things to do: Clear the towers which is so far impossible. or, advance in the Arena.

I seem to have been everywhere I can go. I have Rei, btw and party members levels are 34-38

Hi.
In the"Holy forest" at the top of the rock/mountain, you can`t take the ancient T.., because you can walk through the chest. I got some older versions and copy the saves and that way i could move on when i copied it back to the newest version.

This is an enigma. I have no idea what the issue might be as I've tested it thoroughly and can't seem to find any problem. I'll have to look into it more later.

Have you gone back to Teldrassil? You can land the ship next to the tree in the forest on the western continent to get there. Or if you've already done that, you need to go to the northeast continent where the big city is and land on the small inlet leading into the mountains.

Another thing is on Floating island(s), in the temple when(if) you takes the trail back to the start and goes back out to save you can`t go back in and start again because the starting stone you stand on is gone.

I'm curious: Can Leviathan be defeated during the first encounter? It's obvious that the party is supposed to lose this fight, and Leviathan doesn't even seem to have an HP bar, but if he can be beaten at this point, I will gladly grind a few levels and many JPs to show it who's boss.

Nope, it can't be defeated at that time. In fact, it's health regenerates to full after every turn so it's impossible to kill it no matter how high level you are. You'll get a chance for revenge later, though!

Thanks. I was on the verge of trying out some strategies to prolong the fight, but they all would have turned out futile against a full heal every turn (provided it's impossible at this point to inflict enough damage in one turn).

While I'm already typing, here's a hint for everyone who has advanced the plot as far as I have at the moment. If the player leaves the campsite after Colossus and is supposed to visit Seaknell, (s)he has to walk over many forest tiles. Forest Dragons (rare encounters) can be fought on these forest tiles. They're deadly (at first) and it isn't worth the effort to kill them (unless they drop something good that I'm not aware of), but Barrettes can be stolen from them (armor, female only, +22 Vitality, +31 Spirit, prevents Sleep, Silence and Poison). While they're resistant to most status conditions, Stop works surprisingly well on them. Furthermore, the player would be well advised to equip the two Emerald Rings (s)he should have found so far to negate the damage from Forest Dragon's Twister attack. I love it when JRPGs present opportunities like this one along the way. :)

Edit 2: It's just not my day. If I had paid a little bit attention to the dungeon design, I wouldn't have missed anything. Mea culpa. :D

Edit 1: Darn, it was just another case of leaving and reentering the map to open that treasure chest, so ignore what I had written below. But now I "have" to replay the entire dungeon leading to the Sanctum because of the permanently missable treasures and the inability to return to former sections of the dungeon. :(

Original post: In the forest maze leading to the last Sanctum, the first/topmost treasure chest that can be seen can't be opened. If I encounter more bugged treasure chests in this dungeon, I'll edit my post or annoy the forum police by adding yet another. At least I got the Ancient Tablet, so this treasure chest has indeed been fixed in the current version (though I could still walk through the Ancient Tablet treasure chest before and after opening it).

In the ice area leading to the "Big City":

If you leave and come back, everything stays completed like the first boulder you have to push down, chests, and a rope that you "throw down".
The only thing that you have to do over is the boulder that you push down to the middle black hole.
Only mentioning it because I didn't know if it was intended to reset or not if you leave.

Maybe I'm just too tired already, but I could use a pointer for tomorrow's play session. I've completed the last Sanctum and can now control the ship freely and enter the final dungeon. After (re-)visiting all available locations (except the final dungeon), I'm now at a standstill when it comes to optional undertakings. The arena hasn't opened yet, and the mountain path leading into the northeastern continent is blocked. Do I have to enter the final dungeon or even reach a certain point there to trigger something? Or do I have to use a specific party lineup while carrying out a certain task? A hint at what to do now (except completing the final dungeon) would be really great. Hey, dnel57, you seem to be ahead of me. If you can get back to me before Chazareth, I'll gladly accept your advice. :)

If you mean the rocky continent, you need to go to the Teldrassil tree and complete that first.

Yes, the next place you have to go to in order to advance the story is the final dungeon. However, some side quests you can undertake include:
-Go to Isla Skalda, and start the quest with the Crazy Cat Lady (although it can't be completed right now, there is a small reward for completing a part of it) as well as try your hand at slime wrangling
-If you got the Sword Key from Cutty's hideout, there are some new rooms to explore in the Tazewell mansion (you can return to his hideout to get it if you missed it)
-The arena won't be open until later in the game
-The mountain path that was blocked also won't be available

Yeah it's intended. The middle boulder you were talking about was missing a note tag which saves its position, so that should be fixed now.

I don't have an airship, I don't know how to get one, I don't have Rei yet. There's obviously something I'm supposed to do next, but I can't figure out what.

Edit: Thanks, I've avoided the final dungeon so far because it was clearly labeled as point of no return. :p

I shouldn't have been saying "final dungeon" about the big tower that appears in the middle of the map. It's like a final dungeon for this part of the game, but it's not the end. However, it is definitely a point of no return because everything takes a drastic change once you complete it. Everything that dnel57 is talking about with Teldrassil, airships, and meeting Rei all occur later in the game.

EDIT:When you get the red card you can`t go up again. The way out is blocked .

Fixed. The issue where you can walk in the air was strange because there were other maps with a similar setup which didn't have the problem. Either way, it should be working correctly now.
