Hello,
is there a way to change the Balloon Size from 48x48 to 64x64 without a plugin?
A way to say the maker, he should calculate the image "Balloon" with 64x64 and not with 48x48?

Thanks

just increase the size of the balloon and should do the trick,
it might need another adjustment, but I think it calculated in
rows and columns, so you can try to increase it and call it out.

item icons on the otherhand require a plugin to set the size
of the iconsheet, not sure of the balloon though.

I tried to increase the size from 32x32 to 48x48 but it looks horrible. To 64 isnt a Problem, bc its the "double size" -> "double pixel".

I found a plugin with which the maker displays the balloon in 64x64... unfortunately this plugin crashes my other balloon plugin, which I need for more important commands... so it seems to be theoretically possible :(
It was "RSM Balloon Upgrade". But i use also TF_BalloonEx and i need it.

can you link those 2 plugins, as if it crash, it probably uses a overwrite
methode in both.

also which is below or above RSM?

EDIT:
I see the problem as both have both aliased and overwriting,
mostly the wait, speed, frame index.

I can fix this in TF baloon EX, but I'm unsure if it keeps working,
as you need to place TF than below RSM.

EDIT2:
here is the edited version, place below RSM plugin and it should work,
as I aliased the function of RSM, so it should be fine, if not, than I'm not sure.

(DO NOT USE THIS VERSION OF TF_BaloonEx WITHOUT RSM_BalloonUpgrade)!
use the original versions provided by the creators.

Hi ShadowDragon,
thank you! Im at work but i will try it after work! I tried RSM above and below TF_BalloonEx.
I only need the function from the RSM plugin that I can display the balloon in 64x64...

The problem is that I can use the TF_Balloon via plugins to set the X and Y coordinates for events and RSM cannot do that (No Plugin Commands), so the TF_Balloon should be my main plugin.

Isn't there the possibility to transfer this size function (section in the plugin) to the TF_Balloon? Sorry, I'm not that good with Javascript. I would pay for it too :D

I'm curious and I'll get in touch!

Many Thanks

resize should work, and while RSM dont have plugin commands,
it can be added to the plugin if you dont want to use scriptcalls.

while TF use plugin commands, scriptcalls can be used too,
scriptcalls on 1 way can work smoother than plugin commands,
but mostly, those are minimal as those load slight slower.

but I can see what I can do for you. without promisses,
so RSM size balloon into TF?

if RSM had plugin commands, would you use that over TF?

Thank you very much for your help and for trying!!

I don't need any functions from RSM apart from the function that it shows me the balloon in 64x64.
The "Frame Size" here in the picture from the RSM plugin.

Bildschirmfoto 2022-08-17 um 12.04.39.png

Otherwise I only use TF_Balloon and the plugin commands, because TF_Balloon already gives me all the necessary and important functions I need, also the Positioning from balloons for various events etc.

The only thing missing in the plugin is the function to set the height and width :(

Greetz!

I alter the version, but I dont know if it will work, so I hope I did it correctly.
see the following plugin.

I believe there was the setup of around:

TF_SET_BALLOON [character] [balloonId] [pattern] [waitTime] [dx] [dy]

which becomes now:

TF_SET_BALLOON [character] [balloonId] [pattern] [waitTime] [size] [dx] [dy]

I didn't test it, but if it doesn't work, than I dont know what I'm missing.
so I need another look to it.

there is also a new parameter "size", so the struct base parameters has a new 1.
default is 64, but change it to your liking though.

after you tried it :)

Unfortunately it does not work. Size does not appear in my menu. Additionally I tried it with the Plugin Command (example: TF_SET_BALLOON -1 1 2 12 64 0 0)

Since you set the default to 64, I tried my 64x64 balloon row, but it doesn't work either. It's definitely still set to 48x48.

I installed the plugin correctly and also checked the .js via Notepad++. There I also found your "Size" entries. :)

Best regards and thanks for the try!

can try tomorrow, to see if I missed something, if you didn't set the parameter
to 64 which I didn't I believe, as the basic structs was untouched further.

if someone else respond and make the edit for you or the mistake I made,
let them, else I check tomorrow.

I was confused myself. I can't write a script myself, but I have some understanding now and it should actually appear in the parameters... you can insert it yourself in the rpg maker, but I tried everything yesterday.

thanks :)

I didn't wrote it, and it can mistakes can be made easely, I set the size
on parts where it makes most sense, start and plugin command where
it targets too (the easiest way).

I might miss 1 or 2 crucial parts, but while still learning and get the hang
of it entirely is difficult for me as for me, I need to constant re-read it to
know what I did, so I like the challenge to see if I can modify plugins to
improve and how they work.

I check and see what I can do.

EDIT:
I indeed missed something, but cannot if it is resolved (see file attached).
if it doesn't work still, maybe make 64x64 balloons x8 or seperate files
and try this plugin (require core plugin) core [here], plugin [here] which is
made by Eliaquim, which might work, if not, see if he is able to help what
you want or as a feature to add.

because I dont really know what else I miss than, same code as before:

TF_SET_BALLOON [character] [balloonId] [pattern] [waitTime] [size] [dx] [dy]

Sorry if I cannot help you further though, so if someone else can help,
let them, or if the other plugin linked does work like you want, use that,
but I wish you good luck on your project for now :)

I cannot help you really further or what I'm missing, see if the other link
I gaved you worked for you, but if it doesn't, I hope someone else has
more luck or a better coder.

as it is not my plugin, each codes differently, so things can change
if it comes to impliment a feature.

but good luck on your project and that there can be a better coder to
help you fix it :)
