I have Yanfly's engine installed and I thought it would be a breeze to manipulate but I can't come up with anything, I assigned Region 1 to a common event and in that common event I specified Change Battle Background

    nothing works..any tips ??

You have the YEPRegionEvents plugin installed. For this example you choose Region 1 in the plugin and set it to 1 (Common Event 1) Now go and create Common Event 1 and tell it to change battlebackground to grasslands or whatever you want it. Then go in the edit of the World Map in your map list on the left side, you go into Notes and write down : <Region 1 Event: 1>

This will override whatever there was for battle background. Not sure if it's necessary but I put a battle background by default on the map..JUST to make sure it is overridden by this Common Event. My encounters are setup to not appear on the entire map. So choose a monster and set it to Region 1. etc. To really test it out you should create two Region ID with different battle background to make sure it works. I hope that helps.

Maybe this isn't working. I have common event 2 and 3 set up for:

Event 2 = Change battleback grassland

    Event 3 = Change battleback grassland-forest.

In the plugin I have it so Region 1 is 2 and region 2 is 3.

When i go to my map and put in the <Region 1 Event:2> and so forth, When i enter the map nothing happens. No monsters appear on the map at all.

    Pictures are attached.

Ok so it's working now, but the encounter rate seems really high. I set the encounter rate to 1 and it still takes forever for a monster to actually appear,

EDIT: Ok so even though the encounter rate is set to 1. If i spam the (A) button while moving, it will then start the fights.

Yeah, same here.  My encounter rate is a mess now.  It takes a long ass time for encounters to happen.  Even set to 1 I have to walk about 10ish steps.  Any fix to that?

Or should I just adjust to account for that?
