First of all, I am using ATS: Special Message Codes [VXA] script for my game. Edit : Here is the link  (http://rmrk.net/index.php/topic,44527.0.html)

I want to change the color of all items or actor's name to a specified color without writing the whole "\c[n]"

 things, because it's really time consuming to put "\c[n]" in every items name and actor name in a textbox. I usually forgot the code too,

I tried using Hime Item rarity, it did change the color for the item on the item window, but the color didn't change on the textbox.

also some keywords that appear repeatedly to have different color, without having to code it manually each time it appears, (well, for

this I actually found est - auto color plus, http://www.rpgmakervxace.net/topic/18161-est-auto-text-color-plus/ but I am afraid it didn't

work for item's name because I use \ni[n] to call the item's name instead of writing it.)

so, to sum it up, I am just lazy, lol, but seriously, if there is any way to change all item's name color and actor's name color in the

textbox without writing the "\c[n]" code repeatedly, I would like to know. Thanks.

Please link to the script you're using.

And check for the script's default settings - I vaguely remember that either in MA's ATS or GTC script you could set abbreviations for often-used text codes, and set defaults that are automatically added.

Other than that - it would require a script parser to automatically change all text occurences, and even that can create problems.

One way to do it would be to use SES external text, and then process the text data in Word or a similiar program to automatically add the codes - however, that only works if you haven't entered too many texts in the game as it requires you to replace the text in every text box that uses it.

Sorry about not posting the link, and I tried to read the GTC script, link :http://rmrk.net/index.php/topic,44810.0.html

and there is actually a replacement codes mentioned, but I still need to write the all the name of the items instead of calling the names using \ni[n] code,

SES external text looks a bit complicated for me, So I guess  I will just write it how people normally do it.. XD

Thanks anyway :D

No, if you write the color code inside the item name on the database (which is possible by using Global Text Codes), then it would appear when the name is called.

I don't quite understand,

How to put the color code inside the item name on the database?

I did this in the script  : 2 => "\\c[3]\\ni[001]",

and this in the message box :   here is \r[2]

and the result is

but that's not how I want it to be, I want to call the items in the message box instead of writing it in the script.

Looks like I don't get the script..  ;_;

With the global text code, you can place the text codes not in the message box but in the database (you need to activate that function inside the script):

That way they're automatically colored, even in default menus

Yeah, I see, I just try it, but it looks like something is wrong with my message box,

first I try this

 and it works fine in the title menu,

but when I try this

it became like this

So I guess there is something wrong with my message box..  :(

It might be that the scripts for the message system are in the wrong order, or that the configuration for the GTC is wrong.

Yes, that might be it, I will try the GTC until it works perfectly. Thank you!  :D
