Change event graphic to blank when player walks under

yeah I implemented it and it works. The building disappears when I go into the rectangle I specified via the x,y event comment for the script.


Are you sure its supposed to be top-left and bottom-right coordinates? I dunno what's up but the building flickers when I'm anywhere near it except above it. But for now I'm going to bed. It's 2 AM. Thanks for all your help! Can I PM you the game? it's not a full game file just a scrap while I get the hang of things. Should be tiny file size.

This is going to be difficult. I didn't realize you were using Victor's pixel movement script. That does not work on the 32x32 grid of the map, and the map grid is what my large collision area relies on - so my method isn't even being called when trying to detect collision.


You should delete my script altogether, and try to find a way to make the event collision area larger, using Victor's pixel movement script to figure it out. Unfortunately I don't have enough time to spare to look into it as deeply as I'd need to.


You will also have to resize your town hall image. The whole sprite should be divisible by 3 across and 4 down, and it's not. In addition, since you want to line them up using events, each individual cell needs to be divisible by 32 in both directions. So your sprite should be divisible by 96 across, and 128 down. Just editing the image and adjusting the canvas size will do it, but you might have to move the building around a little to keep the base on the ground, and center it in that first column (third of the image).

Holy stink, where have I been? Well, I started my temporary job this week. So less time to spend on game design... :(
Cartoonier cloud cover that better fits the art style, as well as (slightly) improved blending/fading... fading clouds when there are larger patterns is still somewhat abrupt for some reason.
Do you Find Tilesetting or Looking for Tilesets/Plugins more fun? Personally I like making my tileset for my Game (Cretaceous Park TM) xD
