Hi guys! I have a question for you, it's possible to either do a window when you start the game and select the graphic resolution like that http://puu.sh/l09L9/681925ea18.jpg ? Thanks in advance!

Im sorry if i maybe wasn't clear my english isn't very good. I have alredy a script for change the resolution, but as i could see there are no way to change the resolution in game( like switching to 1920x1080 to 1024x768) so i would like to know if it possible(and don't break the rulse)to do it before the game start.

I don't know if it's possible, but are you sure you want to? Wouldn't that mess up the position of windows, what you can see on screen at any given time (cutscenes might look weird), etc.? Because it's not simply scaling the game window, but changing the window "view".

I don't think you understand what the "resolution" options do. They don't change the display's actual resolution, they change how much of the game is shown. You shouldn't allow end users to change that.

At the moment I'm not aware of a plugin that allows you to change the display resolution. I think it would be a good idea (mostly with video producers in mind. It's easier to have the game change your resolution than to do it yourself or try to scale the video in post), but I don't know enough about HTML5 standards to know if it's feasible.

Why shouldn't I? I just want let the user resize the screen to fit they'r resolution, so they can play in fullscreen without border.

It doesn't resize the screen. It changes the amount of the game that is drawn. If you increase the resolution using any of the current plugins for it, you're increasing the number of tiles drawn on the screen. Put simply: if you made a map that is supposed to be exactly one screen in size for 1280x720, and the user changes it to 1920x1080, then the map will appear smaller than it should be.

RMMV does scale to the display resolution while maintaining aspect ratio and the view resolution that is set by plugins. Barring a plugin that changes the actual display resolution (which, again, I would use if it were available), the most you should be allowing the user to change is the aspect ratio, which you would set to predetermined view resolutions (e.g. 1280x720 for 16:9, 1280x960 for 4:3, etc.)

If all you're asking is if it's possible, it is. All settings are essentially plain text, so they can be modified by any program.

Yeah ok..maybe we are saying the same thinks but my english is really bad and i'm sorry for that.

I got the is just increasing the number of tiles draw but i want something to change the value of tiles drawn before the game start! I will obviously draw map at a minimum of max screen resolution(1920x1080) so there will be no problem.

I have alredy a plugin drawn by me that do it automatically recognizing the resolution of the monitor (So if u have a monitor in 1920x1080 the game will start with a graphic box of 1920x1080) but the fact is, if i can let the user change it instead of doing auto i could set only maybe 4 or 5 resolution (the most used) and wouldnt need image of all resolution, just the one setted.

I'm sorry again for my bad english hope you could get what i'm trying to say.

The link of the plugin is here maybe it could help to clarify my idea. http://forums.rpgmakerweb.com/index.php?/topic/48030-bodkaa-screenfit/

Couple hours of work. Might use in my game as a secret find or something. Not sure. Fancy though no? :D
Holy stink, where have I been? Well, I started my temporary job this week. So less time to spend on game design... :(
Cartoonier cloud cover that better fits the art style, as well as (slightly) improved blending/fading... fading clouds when there are larger patterns is still somewhat abrupt for some reason.
