Is there a way I can easily change the position of my hero battlers? It's super easy to change a monster, obviously. But I'd also like to be able to designate where the 4 character slots are.

Do you mean how to change them in the lineup, or the actual formation?

To change the positions of the battlers in the line up, you just merely go to the Formation option in the menu when playing, and just change them around.

For an actual formation change... none exists just yet, although I think someone is working on a script for that, which will not only allow you to change the actual formation itself, but hopefully give trait bonuses (like +10 melee attack if they're in the front or +10 ranged attack if placed in the back).

That would be pretty awesome :)

If I´m not mistaken in the Yanfly BattlecoreEngine  you can designate where your battlers are positioned  in x and y .

There is also a SVActorPosition plugin from the Japanese team included with the DLC that will let you do this.
Do you know if there is a way to place the monster lower on the field than the system lets you drag and drop? I.e. I have a big monster, and I don't mind if some of it runs off the bottom of my screen.

I'm started working on a grid combat engine. Mainly to allow attacking a row or column of enemies. Party is also in 2x2 grid and affected similarly.

You could edit the Troops.json file and increase the y coordinate of that monster in the troop.  I don't know if it would reset if you then edited the troop and added other members.

I see what you mean, but yeah, it keeps resetting on me sadly XD hehe.

I wish there was a way to make the battle resolution different than the roaming resolution.

In that case, set the troop up so everything else is right, then edit the file to move that enemy, and don't ever look at that troop again in the Troops tab, so it doesn't reset it.

I am looking exactly for a plugin that would do that (trait bonuses depending on back row or front row). Maybe this could be done quite easily by some plugin programmers, by detecting if the current battler's X axis coordinate is lower or higher than a variable quantity of pixels (to easily determine which "row" he is at), then launch some common event that define traits. I could pay for such a plugin.

Ohhhhh, ok. I was using the troop tab to test the battles. Tyvm for the workaround :)

Thanks for pointing this out.  I am, however, running into a snag.  By using this method, how would you separate the battlers from each other?  I can move them all as a group around the screen, but they are all clumped together.  I tried messing with the anchors for each character but their shadows remain in their home positions.

I am trying to figure out how to increase the distance between each battler. Is there a way to do that?

TheWhiteRose000, please do not hijack someone else's thread to ask your own questions. If you are using a plugin and need help with it, please create your own thread in the JS/Plugin Support forum. Thank you.
