Under a database page, such as Skills, there's a box where you input what message is displayed when you use the skill.
There are three shortcut options: casts, does, uses.

Is it possible to edit what the shortcut does? For example, I'd like that pressing "*does*!" actually changes the text to " is using the %1!"

Almost, but not quite right, I think. The 'shortcut' is only for use if that is, indeed, the text you want, instead of the text already displayed. If you don't want any of the texts proposed by these 'shortcuts', just type your own phrase in the two-line text box provided, and ignore the 'shortcuts'. The only advantage to them is that they're already conforming to standard syntax, using the '%1' symbols to represent the Skill name, and leading with a 'Space' character. If your custom text conforms to this same syntax, you'l be fine. It's possible to have a different text for each Skill; they can all be customised in this way.

Hope this helps.

You cannot change the editor in any way.

If you want to use a different phrase multiple times, just copy it from a text file and paste it there

Couple hours of work. Might use in my game as a secret find or something. Not sure. Fancy though no? :D
Holy stink, where have I been? Well, I started my temporary job this week. So less time to spend on game design... :(
Cartoonier cloud cover that better fits the art style, as well as (slightly) improved blending/fading... fading clouds when there are larger patterns is still somewhat abrupt for some reason.
Do you Find Tilesetting or Looking for Tilesets/Plugins more fun? Personally I like making my tileset for my Game (Cretaceous Park TM) xD
