OK so hopefully this is even possible. Right now I have a Skill Type for each class of character so that only that class of actor can learn those specific skills, and then a few general skill classes that anyone can learn from. Unfortunately this displays as the skilltype in the actorcommand window. I tried changing out the line

add_command(name, :skill, true, stype_id)

for something like

add_command(name, Special, true, stype_id)

also

add_command(name, :Special, true, stype_id)

I tried where skill type ID 18 is named "Special"

add_command(name, :skill, true, stype_18)

Do I need to redo my Skill Types to something like Melee and Magic to simplify my battle menu? If so how can I make my individual classes only able to learn specific skills from a skill type? Please and thanks!

Hmmm if I get no responses I have come up with a solution. Originally I had intended to have 12 classes, with 6 skills each, and then 3 sub classes (Melee, White Magic, Black Magic) with specific classes having access to both their skillset ONLY they get, and a general skillset that others can access. (Think Black magic, harm, greater harm, white magic, heal, greater heal, melee as whirlwind and slash or what have you.) I'm begining to think that i would be better off with just the class skills and not having general skills` that apply to multple classes, so in short, keep the class type as the menu option and remove the other stuff to tidy the menu.

Don't forget, aspiring writers: Personality isn't what your characters do, it is WHY they do it.
Hello! I would like to know if there are any pluggings or any way to customize how battles look?
I was thinking that when you start the battle for it to appear the eyes of your characters and opponents sorta like Ace Attorney.
Sadly I don't know how that would be possible so I would be needing help! If you can help me in any way I would really apreciate it!
