I have a few questions as you have probably gathered from the thread title. I'm sure the answers to these questions are very simple and I thought the fastest way to get an answer would be to ask here, so with that out the way I'll get started...

1: How do I change the default font in RPGmaker MV? I don't like the default font and it doesn't suit my game.

2: How do I remove or replace the "action" SE from RPGmaker MV, you know, the sharp squeak when you bring up a text window.

3: I have vases that can be smashed in my game and currently each vase drops 55g, I would like the drops from the vases to be varied say from 25-85, how would I do this?

4: I've saved a few custom sprites and tiles, how do I import these and use them in RPGmaker MV?

5: Could someone point me to a good place to start out creating my own sprites/custom tiles? Tutorials and such.

6: How would I go about changing the UI? Does RPGmaker MV have a built-in feature for creating custom UI's for your game?

1. in the fonts folder.

2. Database > System > sound

3. for this, you need a variable.

then set it to random.

Control Variables > Set > Random

then add gold with the total amount of the variable.

Change Gold > Increase > Variable

4. Copy and paste to your project file.

5.

6. You need some plugin for this.

How do I change the font size? I tried adding font-size: 50; but it didn't do anything. Also are you sure I require a plugin to change the UI? I've been looking around and apparently in previous versions you had to export the window file and edit it then import it back. Can I do this with RPGmaker MV? If I do require a plugin could you direct me to one?

Edit: Gold works fine now except how do I change it so that the text outputs the amount of gold the player receives for example: Item received: [x gold]

1. Check Yanfly's scripts. They do a lot.

4 & 5. See my tutorials in my sig. I have one on sprite formatting, one on autotiles, etc. They're for Ace, but still relevant. The gridsize is 48 in MV instead of 32, but other than that the info is correct.

you need the ttf file and then copy to your fonts folder.
then edit the .css file. rename the

src: url("your_filename.ttf");
if you want to change the size, use the escapes code.

(hover the textbox and the help will popup)

this is how to show variable and more.

use \V[x] where x is your variable id.

I suggest you take the time to work through the tutorials in my starting point (see link in my signature), it will speed up your game development a lot and answer most of your questions (because as you can see from the answers like using the text codes, they're very basic).

About the UI changes: it depends on what you want to change.

There is a windowskin picture and a few other system pictures in the system resources of your project folder. Changing these pictures will change the looks of the UI without using plugins or coding.

But that is limited to visual changes - if you want to change the structure of the UI (what is displayed where), then you'll need plugins one way or another.
