Title should have been Maximum VALUES...

So two parts to this, actually.. Previously I didn't know if there was a way to change the maximum values for hp past 9999, and level past 99, so i was resorting to try to downgrade all the stats, like attack, def, etc, but the problem was that at the very low ends, it seemed to be that even 1 point would change the damage value by a significant enough amount.. like.. 21.. Below that, it would just pop out a 0. I don' tknow enough about math to figure out how to operate those variables correctly, but...

My question now is.. to make it easier, is there a way to raise the maximum values, rather than downgrading?

I'd like to raise level cap past 99, hp past 9999, etc.. Is that possible?

or is there any other way I can downgrade things to have more things stand out?

My direct example, is that I have different characters with unique traits, and one of them has a very extensive amount of hp. much more than any other characters. But if they max out at 9999, then that doesn't really show very well... I had downgraded to the point that 1k max hp was high range for some classes, whereas for this character, they could have over 2k. Possibilties?

I tried to find a way to raise the health past 9999 I'm pretty sure you can't but maybe someone who knows more about scripts could tell us both how lol. Since I'm trying to achieve the same goal as you my idea was to have negative traits with the skills you learn.. example: fireball casts fireball but lowers your Hp by 1%

You need a script, so ...

I've moved this thread to RGSS3 Script Requests. Please be sure to post your threads in the correct forum next time. Thank you.

Search for a "limit breaker" script. The master script list would be a good place to start.

That has nothing to do with math, it depends on how the skill is set up, because the skill tells the game how to calculate the damage.
And from your description, you simply have set the variance of the skill (the random part of it) for too high a number. Try reducing that in the skill's damage definition if you have problems with those values.

Thanks for the response, and the move, but I just need to say that the move comment was a little mean, since I didn't know it required a script :(

Oh! That actually makes sense... Thankyou!

Also you can lock the thread or whatever since it's really been solved

As you can see in your quote, the "mean" move comment is text created by a macro, that I did not write myself. If you take a look around, you will see that almost ALL move comments look exactly the same, except for the name of the new forum ;) I have no control over what appears there.

Couple hours of work. Might use in my game as a secret find or something. Not sure. Fancy though no? :D
Holy stink, where have I been? Well, I started my temporary job this week. So less time to spend on game design... :(
Cartoonier cloud cover that better fits the art style, as well as (slightly) improved blending/fading... fading clouds when there are larger patterns is still somewhat abrupt for some reason.
Do you Find Tilesetting or Looking for Tilesets/Plugins more fun? Personally I like making my tileset for my Game (Cretaceous Park TM) xD
