Changing the boat graphic only while the first actor is inside the vehicle

Hello,
I need a script that does the following:
  • Changes the charset of the boat vehicle only when the first actor (i.e. the player character) is inside the vehicle.
  • Reverts back to the original graphic as soon as the same actor has exited the vehicle.
  • Doesn't contain any other vehicle features.
Does anyone know if this script exists anywhere?

Oh thank you! That's very kind of you.

One thing though, it doesn't always seem to catch all cases of getting on/off.

Also, it seems that the vehicle changes direction before making the switch, effectively making it look like there's a short flicker.

I've attached a GIF to illustrate what I mean.

@quackgyver Hmm, do you have version 1.00? Or 1.01? I did a quick update so perhaps you missed that update.

Yeah I've indeed been using 1.01, so the problem seems to persist there.

I think you can reproduce it by just doing various rapid combinations of walking, running, sailing and getting on/off.

My hunch is that it seems to be related to getting off the boat right after having moved with the boat.

@quackgyver what if you put a 1-2 wait frames when getting out and getting in?
does it persist still?

entering a vehicle (that isvisible on the map) is an event. if you exit it, the boat is left
behind which is also an event (correct me if im wrong).

@quackgyver Yeah, I have very rapidly entered and exited all of the vehicles and I cannot seem to reproduce the issue. I will poke around and tinker a bit more.


EDIT: I don't suppose there is any event running in the background that might be changing the graphic?
