Changing the "dark" message option to a different color

I don't know if this is the right place to put this, but how can I change the "dark" window for the message boxes to be a different color? My game's font is black, but its practically unreadable with the default dark option.
Example of what I mean:

I assume you mean the dim message window.
I just tested Window_Message Line 114. back_color1
change from (0, 0, 0, 160) to (255,255,255,160) or whatever color you are trying
The second one back_color2 is the edge of the window
