Changing the default battleback from Grassland1.png

    Hi,



    I removed Grassland1.png from my project to reduce space and the fact it does not relate to my project. However I can't seem to test battles now as the battleback Grassland1 is expected. I still have Wood2 and Wasteland so I want to set the default to those (without editing System.json directly - unless necessary).


    Is there somewhere in the UI that I am missing where you can change the default battleback to something?


    I see on the map settings but this is for dev purposes only. For some reason Wasteland.png is in my deployment folder (even with exclude files) so it must be referenced somewhere that I can't find yet :s

    It's not quite what I am looking for. I am looking to set (in one place) the battleback that are used for all maps. Is that possible or is the default (Grassland) hardcoded someplace?

    In the Editor, in the left-hand column are the Maps. Right-click on a Map to see its Properties; on the Left is a box: 'Select Battleback'. This is where the 2 Background images are determined for that Map.


    It's also possible to change the Battlebacks by code in a Common Event; I use the Regions and Terrain Tags for this, detected in a Map Event triggered at every Step by a Parallel Process. This ensures that Random Encounters have the Battlebacks needed, whatever the Troop encountered...

    It did help thanks and i might go that route. However, it did (except maybe the common event) need me to set the battleback on every map rather than change a default for the game itself?


    Do you have to include grassland.png in your game for example for it to run without a resource error?

    There is no default for the whole game.  The battleback depends on what's set on the map.


    If they are ALL set to grassland1.png by default, why not just change the name of the battleback you want to use to Grassland1?

    Thanks Shaz - I was checking I wasn't missing something. I could probably change the .js too to default to it but I wondered if the UI had that ability.


    Thanks again - just starting out here and trying to make the minimal distribution before I build it back up again :)
