Using ODW's multilanguage plugin, I have set up this common event that is intended to change the font based on the language detected by that plugin (with the changes being applied immediately after the language option is selected in the options menu (for example, when the Language option is switched to Japanese, the font will change)).

But it doesn't apply the change immediately in the options menu...

Is the above common event not enough to achieve this? If so, then how can I achieve this?

common events run non the map - not in the menues
most screens do not have an interpreter to run the code, that is why for example if an item calls a common event it closes the item screen and returns to the map to execute the common event.

With some help from kind fellow Discord members, I seem to solve the issue (by modifying the language plugin with some code).

You might not want your project deadlines dependent on the availability and ability of random forum members to troubleshoot your tech problems.

I'd be glad if you could PM me the various changes you've made to my plugin, so that I can take them into account in the future versions. First to maintain compatibility with your custom code, but even to integrate maybe this code into the plugin to share this update with the community of plugin's users.
