Hey there! I apologize if this post is in the wrong section.

What I want to do is develop a class system, where at the beginning, you select the classes of your party (like Final Fantasy I), but later on you can unlock other classes, and level each class separately. For example, say you have one character who starts as a Warrior and gets to level 20, but then you can switch to Mage and start at level 1. But you decide you want him back as warrior, and that class still has its level. I do not want classes to mix (a warrior cannot cast Fireball). Thanks in advance!

I do have most of Yanfly's scripts already. They're awesome. But how do I let you choose at the beginning? Is the only way to do a blank screen, floating text, choices and loops, and all that? Or can I have something similar to FFI as a screen, where it'll give a small description of the class?

Actually with JP Manager, subclasses (or all classes really) already gain separate JP. (However not two classes at once) Sometimes that Class Management add-on gives compatibility issues.  Just wanted to point that out just in case.

I would definitely check out Yanfly's class system and JP manager script. He has a lot of Note tags that work with the script and aren't too hard to use. You'll have to use a lot of them depending on how many classes and actors you have but it's a great system.

Subclasses don't gain additional JP with Yanfly Engine Ace. It could end up with compatibility issues, but it all depends on which scripts you're using. It works fine for me with Yanfly Class System, Ace Battle Engine, JP Manager, Learn Skills Engine, Skill Cost Manager and Skill Restrictions.

I'm using all of those except Skill Cost Manager and Skill Restrictions. Didnt see them when I was browsing his site. Very useful indeed. But a question about Skill Cost Manager. If only really use it to cost HP. Isn't there a way to do that in the default engine? If not that's fine I'm only going to use it for my Necromancer class :)
