Hey guys!
I have installed the Character Generator DLC for RPG Maker MZ. However, when I open the Character Generator, the new parts don't appear. Can anyone help me?

Do you use steam or stand-alone?
Which DLC pack is it(link)?
How did you "install" it?

Save and close your project close MZ. Confirm the DLC was download in steam under download updates.. if it hasn't, click download now(it may be pending).
If it has, just reopen MZ, open a project, and click the generator icon.

EDIT:
Confirm you purchased the pack.

Confirm parts by looking for appropriate section(male, female, kid)

Purchasing the DLC in Steam would probably not do anything to add it to your generator. You need to find where the files were installed (usually a DLC folder in the directory where you installed MZ) and copy them into the generator folder manually. This is because you may already have files in the generator with conflicting names, and Steam wouldn't have a way to handle that.

If you're not sure how to do that, there are bunches of threads on installing generator parts.

Steam automatically installs generator parts(only generator parts).. you wont find any image files in the DLC folder.. only a note saying they were automatically installed.

Huh...that's not the case for some stuff I have in MV. But maybe those packs had mixed asset types so were treated differently.

It happened roughly(from what I remember) around the time mz was released. They made changes to how generator parts are installed.

Yes, I think mixed asset packs may not install automatically.

Good to know.

I genuinely like the default MZ actor sprites, and the character creator. I think I will draw new headshots for them, but part of me doesn't want to replace the default sprites. But should I? I want to eventually release my game.
Someday, I hope they make a game where 95% of the animation budget went to turning valves and opening door animations, leaving every other animation looking like a CDI zelda cutscene.

Why can't I insert picture in this profile post? Only insert image -> by URL. No option to upload from my pc?
