RPG Maker Forums

Hiya!
Name's TimeParadox, and I have a question/request for you.

My friends and I have been working on a game for a few weeks now, and we just got into the process of making the actual game (after we worked out some combat ideas and whatnot).

We all know our ways around RPG Maker VX Ace very well, but there is one thing we seem to not be that good at, and that is scripting.

Open the spoiler below to get the full request.

We're trying to find a script that will enable us to use the CHARACTER PILLARS.
What I mean by this is essentially, throughout the game, your actions will effect either the rising or falling of your pillars.

^^^^^ Those guys right there ^^^^^

However, we wouldn't really want citizenship in there?
Perhaps if someone were to actually get around to writing the script (which would be awesome), they could make it to where you can enable this guy, and disable this guy.

But, essentially, your actions effect how the pillars rise/fall, and the status of your pillars at the end of the game decide what kind of ending you get.

So say you go the entire game and you decide to do nothing but be a bad guy and just kill people and things that don't deserve to be killed. Then there's a very good chance that your pillars would fall down onto the negative end. For instance, respect, when it falls under the line, turns into disrespect, responsibility would turn into irresponsibility, and so forth.

The end of the game would have a judgement period, and you would be judged based on you decided to go forth building/destroying your pillars.

Thinking back on it, this could probably be done with variables maybe, but I wanted to take it a step further. I want to have a visual representation of the pillars. Everything you do in the game effects it in real time, y'feel me?

If you can help me, I would be eternally grateful!

On my journey of character rework: I had this character, she was meant to be just a princess that joins your party. And at long term she was just uninteresting... So I tweaked her to be a rebel agaisn't the royalty before meeting up with the party.

Quick tip for any other ametuer pixel artists! When trying to create a colour palette, enabling Antialiasing can speed up the process of creating different shades! Just place your lightest colour and your darkest colour next to each other, select both pixels, and stretch it out!
