Does anyone know how to make a visual character selection at the beginning of the game similar to the diablo series? I want the player to be able to see the character choices along with the name of the class(Warrior, cleric, rogue, etc). Then they will name that character.
well you can make events that uses the char sprite then have the player initially have a selector sprite then maybe lock movement to only below those events and put touch events on the path of the player which shows the selection description and choices...

You could use a program like Photo Shop and just create a picture showing the different character sprites and descriptions available and use the Show Choices event command to let the player choose which one they want to play as. It's fairly easy to do as long as you have a decent photo editor.
Thanks! That's what I'll do! I'll make a cool image with a background and since I am using a mouse script the player can scroll over the boxes to select which character.

so hopefully tomorrow i get to go home from the hospital i've been here for 5 days already and it's driving me mad. I miss my family like crazy but at least I get to use my own toiletries and my own clothes. My mom is coming to visit soon i can't wait to see her cause i miss her the most.
Cartoonier cloud cover that better fits the art style, as well as (slightly) improved blending/fading... fading clouds when there are larger patterns is still somewhat abrupt for some reason.
