Character Won't Turn

My game's Intro involves the main character meeting the main baddy, Astro, in his dream. At some point in the Intro, Astro appears behind the character and I want the main character to turn and look at him. However, for whatever reason, the character won't turn during this event. It lets me turn him in the earlier events, but not this one. How do I fix this issue?

If it's one intro scene then everything needs to be done in one controlling event, not multiple events. Having multiple events will increase the possibility that something you have done in one of them will mess up what happens in another. It could be, for example, that one of those events is still on auto run, so preventing anything else happening until it is stopped.

Try combining them into one event - traditionally this is done by an event without a graphic in the top left corner of the map. See if that solves your problem. If it doesn't, show us a screen shot of your event. Use Alt+PrtSc so that it takes a shot only of the event and not your whole desktop. Don't crop anything, we need to see all the conditions on the left side, not just the commands on the right.

I doubt that's the issue. I may have used too many screenshots, but I wanted to make sure I was getting across what I was saying.

Here's the map for the intro. I have the player invisible in order for a smooth fade in. A lot of events, I know. The bottom left one is what kicks us off.

So, the event, after running, uses a self switch into a blank event that doesn't activate through autorun.
You then walk up. The first line of events you touch all teleport the main baddy so that he's standing in front of the player. The second line actives a scene and the baddy disappears. Both lines of events delete themselves after this event is finished.
Then you investigate, but see he's not there. Astro then walks up and 'kills' the player, which is going to wake him up.

I will try to do your method of things, but I'd like it if I can still get help as I like it to be this way.

I also forgot to mention that it allows me to easily move the bad guy in the final event, despite having also been moved in previous events.

I don't see it in the events you've shown, but I'd check to see if there's another event where you do a move route on the character and turn Direction Fix on.

I checked for that. I've even tried turning Direction Fix Off on the last event. It did nothing.

Does your entire event run? Do you get all the text? Or does it just seem to freeze at a certain point?

Could it be that your NPC is being blocked by those rows of events, and can't complete its move route? That could cause all the remaining commands to not run, and you'd basically be frozen.

From what you've shown here I can see what the bottom row of events are for - the player touch sequence that you have shown us.
But what is the top row of events for?
What is on the first tab of the event for the move route?
What's in the event at the top?
Are all the events that are in a row the same? Copy/Paste.
Does the map loop horizontally?

Check your unused common events if one is accidentally Turner on by one of the switches you're using in this event

Hello! I would like to know if there are any pluggings or any way to customize how battles look?
