I have two questions:
First, is there a way to check whether or not the player has a certain equipment slot filled, rather than a particular item? For example, lets say I have a combat arena that will only allow the player to enter if their Character 1 has no weapon or accessories equipped (ie, the Weapon and Accessory slots are both empty on Char 1). If they have a weapon or Accessory equipped, the arena guard will politely tell them to go away while silently flipping them off. If they are unarmed and have no accessory, then the guard moves aside and tells them to 'break a leg'. Is checking for whether equipment slots used or empty possible, either using a plugin or script?
Second, does anyone know of a way to change the sprite/battler of a character depending on the items they have equipped? Yanfly made a brilliant plugin that allows for changing of such based on class, and I was wondering if it might be possible to do the same thing for equipment? (Preferably one that also varies by actor, too - perhaps then, a plugin that uses Actor notetags and checks armour IDs / keywords would instead be better?)
