I'm working on my custom menu.
Is it possible to check whether the player's "selection" is above a certain choice(hovering)?
I want the player to be able to change the volume by pressing the right\left buttons and do the same with other options in the menu.

if it's evented, than you can check the conditional for mouse X and Y MouseSystemEx plugin

if the menu is already from a plugin, than you need to implent it.

(I cannot add links at the moment, because the options are removed somehow, so you
can search the plugin name and put rpgmv behind to get this link to the forum).

or provide more information how the menu, selection etc is made, for a better solution.

My game doesn't support the mouse.
The menu is made of SRD Picture Choice plugin.
There are plugins that can display things(hints and images) depending on what choice you're hovering, but I need more flexibility.

I could remake it using simple show pictures commands but then the menu would be hard to change and customize. So I'm hoping there's an easier way.

choice plugin only selects once when entering it, it will be the chosen choice.
hovering is mostly mouse based, select the image (from the param) so far I know,
can be either be bigger, or offset it (if not mistaken).

chaning the volume as an option is not possible with that plugin, but there
are options plugin and or master volume to change those.

or make a screenshot how how you want to change the volume, because if you
want to use it differently and let say, keep the choice list open when selecting
the + and - to turn up or lower the sound, it need to be modified and when pressing
X or ESC (cancel button), to close the choice menu.

but than there are complications which counts for each choice window.
so custimize the options menu with picture choice plugin will not work without
modified the plugin that way.

Okay, forget changing the volume, please, cause I'm not looking for any alternatives.

I'm just asking if anyone knows whether I can check if a certain choice is about to be selected(I call it hovering, but not with a mouse, but selection area).

I'm experienced with eventing and have links to all plugin archives. I'm looking for this specific script call.

Using hiddenone's QTE tutorial I've been able to setup a simple fishing system. Instead of just the pointer moving, the goal moves as well. Holding the action button scrolls the pointer and pressing the down arrow key hooks the fish. The speed of both is variable as well as the number of successful hooks needed for a catch.
