Hi!

I was wondering how to do 2 things for my game. So the game I'm designing is a game with a large world with 1 main storyline but multiple small side stories.

So I have a special "Rewards room" where there are multiple chests of different tiers. So for like gold tier, there is are multiple chests you can open but there is only 1 type of key. Say if you get a gold key you can open any chest that's of the gold tier. So to make these chests I wanted a chest which gave gold coins (Game currency). Simple enough but I wanted to make the amount of gold dependant on the players level. (the gold received is 100 times the players level.) How would I be able to do this? Also, one more thing. How can I have a large pool of items and choose one to give the player?

Thanks,
Predatorial

Edit treasure chests to look like this. I think this will do it. Except I forgot to multiply it by 100 first. oops.Capture.JPG

RMMV
Control Variables to get the player's level into a variable, then Control Variables to multiply it by 100, then Change Gold using that variable. And you can put \v[n] into your message box where n is the variable id (no leading zeros) to make it display that number.

For a large pool of items, you use Control Variables to set a variable to a random number between 1 and the number of items you have. Then you use a series of conditional branches to say if the variable is 1, give one item, else if the variable is 2, give a different item, else ... etc.

edit ... pipped - but the event above needs a few little changes. After getting the level, do another Control Variables to multiply it by 100. And in the text box, use \v[n]G rather than 0G to display the amount.

Don't forget, aspiring writers: Personality isn't what your characters do, it is WHY they do it.
Hello! I would like to know if there are any pluggings or any way to customize how battles look?
I was thinking that when you start the battle for it to appear the eyes of your characters and opponents sorta like Ace Attorney.
Sadly I don't know how that would be possible so I would be needing help! If you can help me in any way I would really apreciate it!
