Game Synopsis


Many centuries into the future, the wickedness of man nearly brought an end to to Planet Earth.  A great war broke out and with it the desperation to use nuclear arms as well as other disastrous weaponry.  There were no winners of this war...Almost all of humanity was wiped off the face of the planet, leaving only a handful behind in the waste-filled aftermath of the event they came to call, The Great Catastrophe.  Being irradiated as it was, and almost all food supplies being tainted, there was almost no hope for survival.  Every day was a struggle for what remained of the human race.


The despair and hopelessness dragged on for what seemed to be an eternity.  Each and every day another person would die and the population would lower faster than new lives could be born.  Once all seemed lost a miracle occurred.  Some of the new lives that were born had developed certain adaptations, anti-bodies and mutations.  With these new developments the humans began to slow the death toll to a crawl, but did not flourish again until one special entity was born.  A genius appeared, who's I.Q exceeded all previous generations.  In addition to his sharp mind, the evolution of man itself allowed him to use almost all the areas of his brain.  He was able to create new technology and methods to counteract the tainted land and food supply.  With his advances, the humans were finally able to get back on their feet and restore the Earth to its former glory.


The genius' methods may have been great, but he was unable to reverse the genetic changes in humans and wildlife.  Monsters and mutants roamed the land for a time, some of which had intelligence on par with humans.  Unfortunately, man and monster could not see eye to eye and refused to integrate societies.  Nevertheless, all life on Earth continued to evolve and change until creating some form of society again.


Now humans with special abilities are not uncommon and there are now many schools with special classes to teach children with abilities how to control them and be functioning members of society, as well as fend off monster attacks.  Whether they can move at high speeds, have enhanced strength, or even have the power to manipulate the elements, there is a class for them.  Unfortunately, there are those who's powers are so great that this alone is insufficient.  For those with extremely great and terrible power, they are sent to special rehabilitation centers or laboratories to be treated until their power can be stabilized.  Unfortunately, the wickedness of man begins to rear its ugly head again when certain scientists and world leaders begin to think of the possibilities.  


Secret illegal research began...Trying to find ways that these super humans could be used in case of another war, be it against monsters or other nations...Some even began plotting world domination, but it didn't end there.  One man, more twisted than all others began to dream of bringing the human race to an end, for good, bringing about a second, more absolute, Great Catastrophe.  It will be up to the new generation to keep the monsters at bay and stop this second Great Catastrophe before it happens....

Choices


Being heavily story driven, the game will allow you to make various choices at certain parts that WILL affect the outcome of later events and potentially change the flow of the story entirely.  Even just saying certain words to certain characters will cause different reactions from them, or even start a fight!  Though the opposite is also true where you can cause certain characters to fall in love.  Doing so may grant you skills and items that are otherwise impossible to obtain.  Even relationships between party members can be developed and allow you to use combined attacks.


Smart Enemies


Some enemies will be smarter than others and not simply attack you with the same skills over and over.  Some will test you for your weaknesses and exploit them once found, or use various debuffs and other skills to throw you off your game.


Puzzles and Traps


There will be many times where you will have to use your head to find your way out of a bad situation or be caught off guard by an enemy trap in an enemy territory.  The choices will come into play again and you will often be punished for taking the wrong path or giving a wrong answer.


Battle Aesthetics 


During battles, certain skills may cause a character to rush into enemy lines and assault them beautifully or attack them with gorgeous special effects.


Unique Enemies/Monster Allies


Many of the enemies and characters in this game will be made exclusively by me, and certain creatures will be tame-able and able to be summoned in battle.  Show the world that humans and monster CAN be friends after all!!


Lamia

Characters


Wattina: 


A happy go-lucky girl who developed an extremely unstable power and was forcefully separated from her childhood friend and sister for treatment.  She spent years at Crow Barr Rehabilitation, a center dedicated to helping those with unstable powers become safe again.  Overseeing her treatment was her grandfather and head scientist, Dr. Archer, who mysteriously stopped make appearances for her treatment.  Despite being confined to a room she never lost her high spirits and playful demeanor.  She is often quite silly and simple minded, being easily pleased by food and games.


Sol:


Somewhat serious, and full of prejudice towards the wealthy, Sol is a strong willed young man with somewhat misguided goals.  He grew up constantly being teased about his hair and his eyes, particularly by the upper class, often being asked if he dyes his hair or wears special lenses only to be teased for his lack of funds to afford such things.  He works hard to prove that money isn't everything and strives to be the best at everything, so much so that he becomes frustrated at things he cannot do.  His main goal in life is to have vengeance on the rich and rely on money as little as possible, believing that the world was better before the new society was established.
