Any of you still remember what your favorite toy was as a kid?

I loved these things:

On the inside they looked like this.

Oh Lego,Transformers and Action figures too.

Transformers, legos, Pound Puppies (they made a new cartoon of these that my kids watch), and of course the Atari, NES, and SNES.

Also fire, luckily I never caused significant damage.

When I was a kid. There were these two toys, I always wanted, but never got.

The first, comes from my absolute love of Transformers. Man I never saw it in stores. I only ever saw it in the little catalog things that came in packages.

Powermaster Optimus Prime

Dude it was, Optimus Prime. Only BIGGER, and with more awesome. Granted, nowadays I notice that it was a truck and trailer that transformed into a brick with arms, but still, it was so cool when I was a kid.

The second, was... I was a huge Lego geek. And the series of Legos I loved the most was Space stuff. And the Aerial Intruder was one space set I always wanted but never had.

It was just cool looking. I mean, it wasn't even that great but I remember wanting it so bad.

On another note, you know what the best toyline idea ever was? You know what toyline spoke to kids with a myriad of awesome ideas slapped together with reckless abandon?

DINORIDERS

Seriously, psychic space warriors in war with an evil anthropomorphic empire who crash land on ancient earth and DUKE IT OUT WITH DINOSAURS WITH MISSILES AND LASERS STRAPPED ON? Yes, Just YES

Legos all the way. But I never had the sets. I just bucket upon bucket of the plain old bricks. You'd be amazed at the things you can do with just the plain bricks and an imagination.

Also, Ninja Turtles. They are my childhood heros and still remain the coolest thing ever imo! Also the original Power Rangers. I had these cool flip head action figures that when you pressed the button they morphed. I never had the zords though i always wanted them lol.

@Infamous - We recently found my Pound Puppies in my parents' attic and my girls love playing with them. Those and My Little Ponies! Those were one of my favorite things ever!

@Touchfuzzy - It's funny seeing this how things cycle back through. My girls love the Imaginext dinos which are very similar to what you posted.

I use to have tons of He-Man stuff when I was little.

Also, Legos were awesome but what about Construx! I use to build rocket ships, robots, and swords (my brother and I would duel with our creations).

Finally, Voltron!

Oh my god. I had the exact same Voltron when I was younger.

I also loved lego (who didn't?), dinosaurs (man I WORSHIPED dinosaurs when I was a wee lad), army men (I had a giant box filled with them) and....

A friend of my parents gave this to me and I used to play it with my sister all the time.

Also: Sticky hands, Pirate Ship Playmobil, matchbox cars, that Brick Game thing, Tamagochi (although that was a bit later on), Action Man, those tiny toys in every Kinder Suprise and many many more that I simply can't remember at this moment.

I'm currently a teenager (not telling my exact age), but I still have my own childhood toys. Legos are awesome. The new Lord of the Rings series, B) . Also, GO GO Power Rangers. I have watched every Power Ranger series made. And, when I was around 7 or 8 I loved Transformers. And, I still have my stuffed pikachu from when I was little. I can go on and on about my childhood toys. But, I'll spare your feeble human minds.

I forgot about Voltron. I didn't have a lot of the toys, but I had friends who did and I played with them as much as I could.

I played a lot of cards with my brother when I was a kid too. We had a grandpa who could stack decks and cool stuff like that, but he died before he could teach me any tricks, but he did teach us how to play a variety of poker games.

Tamagotchi. I had so many of these things.

And I had way too many pogs. A bag full of them.

I also liked collecting marbles and winning them from people.

There's also a thing called 'scoubidou' pronounced as Scooby Doo, you had to twirl plastic strings into keychains.

Then there's the standard lego/barbies/pokemon cards/my little pony figurines. I also had a furby!

@Luna: ... you really can't tell what time period you're from XD

Couple hours of work. Might use in my game as a secret find or something. Not sure. Fancy though no? :D
Holy stink, where have I been? Well, I started my temporary job this week. So less time to spend on game design... :(
Cartoonier cloud cover that better fits the art style, as well as (slightly) improved blending/fading... fading clouds when there are larger patterns is still somewhat abrupt for some reason.
Do you Find Tilesetting or Looking for Tilesets/Plugins more fun? Personally I like making my tileset for my Game (Cretaceous Park TM) xD
