Choice lock?

How do I make it so if I don't have a specific item, a choice is locked? I'd like to add that into my game but I have no clue what to do there, and wouldn't like to do like 50 different choice lists just for each individual item

Please help me out here!

I did it as you said, I did conditional branches depending on which items you had. But I only had 4 choices myself so it wasn't too bad to do the cases, though it does work out to n! branches for n choices.

Another way to do this though are to use the select key item command and then have the engine respond based on what item you used.

Ah, but the thing is i have a journal planned with over several hundred entries. If i redo it for every entry I may run out of space.

There is an option on the event page to require a specific item. So you could make two pages for that event: one with the choice locked and not clicking that previously mentioned box, and then one with the choice unlocked but clicking that box. But of course, that method could be sketchy depending on what all else you need the event to do.

Otherwise, I don't know that you can get around it without using a lot of conditional branches.

You may wanna take a look at this plugin by HimeWorks. It lets you hide choices based on switches.

Hello! I would like to know if there are any pluggings or any way to customize how battles look?
