Recently I have got the Chrono Engine pack from Moghunter, and that's a HECK LOAD of plugins for just an ABS!!:hsrs:

One problem remains for me:
How the heck can I set up the Chrono battle system? I'm having troubles in setting it up, since it keep throwing errors if I keep the plugins / images files intact. I am a total beginner in setting up a battle system other than traditional-styled RPG battle systems (including the famed Undertale-styled battle system). And btw, since all of the plugins in the Chrono Engine pack is all in Portuguese, I am not able to understand what the plugin series want me to do (especially without a translator).

Can any of you give me in-depth explanations on how to set up the Chrono Engine for beginners? I will be appreciated if any of you give an in-depth process on setting up the Chrono Engine that is comprehensible for beginners!

most ABS are complex, even Alpha ABS.

but there is a tutorial on how it works in step by step, and I forgot the name
for it, but if it still exists on yourtube, you can find it, its between 15-40min
per video how to set it up (from toolmap to skills).

but most create their maps INSIDE the demo and learn from there how
enemies and certain things are setup and how to modify them when needed.

it really depends on what you want to know and what you want to use.
study the demo would be the best approach, but giving an indepth explanation
can also be 4-6 pages long to tell what does what, how to set it up,
what impact it have, how dmg is calculated etc etc.

to my knowledge, you dont need ALL plugins for the ABS system, you can
use the plugin on it's own, other plugins added are optional.

Wot! There's a video on it too? Which system to be exact? (but anyway I am too busy to dig it up because I still have school work and personal work on tow)

I tried researching the demo, but since many of the things in the demo is too complicated, and plus, all of the plugins for Chrono Engine are in Portuguese, I cannot do that kind of thing on my own, and need all of your help on how to set up an ABS, namely the Chrono Engine.

If any of you can help, can you please help me researching the demo so that you can create an in-depth explanation on how the Chrono Engine works as well of its functions, in a way that is easy-to-understand for beginners? I will be appreciated if you help me on doing this!

the videos is english, but it tells how it works a bit indepth though,
let me see if I can find that part which explain the ABS portion of it.

if you want the other system (which is inside the chronoEngine), than
there might be one, but I didn't see that one.

if you target the ABS, than I can see if I can find it and place the link
on this thread [ABS Tutorial here]

so I update this post and ping you.

Well, basically setting up an ABS to me is a thousand times harder than setting up an Undertale-styled battle system (btw MOG Chrono Engine has too many plugins in that pack, and all of the plugins in it are in Portuguese so I cannot figure out what they want me to do), so I need a thorough guide on how to set up that, in a way that a total noob could easily understand.

Even though Alpha ABS to me is more simplistic and straightforward (probably stated by Pheonix himself), it is very limiting in its base version, and we need to pay in order to get access to all of its features as well as commercial use. There's no way that I need to spend a lot of money for just a single piece of code with extended functionality (I am still a student with no [[KROMER]] (money)).

Despite I haven't tried QABS before, today I might give it a try. If it works OK for me, then I would use that instead of Chrono Engine.

each version of ABS require JS basic knowledge, ABS from MOG Demo
is the easiest way and adjust later on.

QABS get a newer version, more stable by someone else but require
notetags (this can be easier or hard as well)

Pheonix KD ABS (AABS) require some JSON Knowledge to adjust things
as the possibilities are endless, specially ideal with AnimaX.

you can even event ABS entirely with a couple plugins (some are paid).

it depends what you want in your ABS system, and you can also try out
the basics, as for 1 game, AABS is also heavily modified to work perfectly.

you need to see what works for you, I think QABS require 3 or 4 plugins
at minimum as MOG's plugin only 1, there is a english version somewhere
with english helpfile, you might be able to find hat one.

Edit:
Here is [the forum] for the tutorial (video part1) might be more)
but on his youtube channel are more of them how to set it up.

(on page 2 is driftwood superGuide) can be usefull too.
on that video on yourtube is the english version as well.

so you have to play around and see if it makes more sense for you.

the video is part 5, while it has the english version, you should start on
part 1 if you follow DriftWood Gaming) but I think you can watch both
and see who does a better job, but maybe they explain different things,
so it can help you at least from scratch if you which to do so :)

grief... finding a font that works with the engine has been a bigger process than I thought it'd be. doesn't help MV loves to scrunch letters next to each other like a football huddle.
The new Phoenix plugin. I drew icons and an interface into it
R3-M1 can now leave footprints :kaojoy: Thanks Dsiver144 for another amazing plugin!!
