I'll tweak those few lines of dialogue a bit. I also thought that Jinn's lines in the intro cutscene could be made cruder. I'll see what I can do there without dropping F-bombs in the first 5 minutes of the game. :p

Yeah, I suppose I could make Lorelei's "profession" a bit more obscure in the beginning. In regard to her trusting Holt was because he saved her life, even when she told him she's an assassin. She's the kind of person who is kind to those who help her, but anyone who lies to her, takes advantage of her, or betrays her, receive zero mercy and sympathy, and she won't even blink when gunning them down.

Yeah, most enemies are triggered on proximity basis, once you get within a few paces of them. Of course if it's a narrow corridor, they won't see you from around the corner, but they will the moment you step into their line of sight, providing you're not too far away (it's a bit like how Chrono Trigger handled its encounters).

That song is one of the royalty free tracks from Jewelbeat.com. They have a lot of nice music there.

As for the script, no. I didn't know about that script in fact. Just been doing it all with events. :p

I'm sorry sincerely, but the game link this with any virus, malware that has been detected by google chrome, I'd like the link owner knew it because his file has a virus.

Hi there. It is very common for browsers to think RM games are viruses, but most times it is just a false alarm. So don't worry, there's no virus there, but it's up to you of course if you prefer to be cautious.

The demo was very fun.

I hate the battle backgrounds thou (it looks so bad compared to the rest of the game).

edit: and maybe some more variety in enemies and enemy attacks.

Thanks man. Yeah, I don't like the current battlebacks either. I hope I'll be able to find something to replace them in the future. There are virtually no modern/sci-fi battlebacks in PVGames style at the moment.

I am hoping to have more different enemies as the game progresses, though I can see that having soldiers a lot of the time can get really repetitive.

To all: Sorry I haven't posted an update in a while. I'll be sure to post one in the next couple of days or so.

You could always have different types of soldiers that look different and serve other purposes.

I like that idea. I already have planned to have secret police, which will be stronger, but I might add variations for normal soldiers too, like heavy armour soldiers and stuff. Thanks for the suggestions. :)

Something I've been meaning to ask was why the areas to the left and right after exiting the prison are so small - are they maps you might revisit in the future, in-game or just to re-map and enlarge? I was just wondering. It's not a big deal or anything.

That was just to keep the first hub area to be of reasonable size so that players don't get lost and can get used to exploration. The further we get into the game, the bigger I am hoping to make these hub areas. I've planned one in Act 3 to be in the city centre, so hoping to make that one pretty big. :)

Also, this weekend I'll be able to tackle the other difficulties.  Should get back to you with at least hard-mode by tomorrow. If I'm lucky, I'll be able to get them both out of the way tonight.

Oh cool. Yeah, let me know what you think of those difficulty modes and whether they're reasonable (Hardy being slightly harder than Normal but not too hard, and Dystopia being the ultimate challenge).

By the way, if you're interested to be one of the special testers (and have the time), I can send you (privately) any future additions to the demo for feedback. I've been doing that with my previous two commercial games. After having done each act, I'd send it to my testers and get feedback.
