In my world, clocks are only just about to be invented.  I want to show an NPC tinkering with bits of clocks as if he's trying different things.  I'm sure I've seen clock parts somewhere, a long time ago, and I have zero memory where it was.

Does anyone know of such things?

Thanks.

Maybe you could use Avery's icons or would those be too big? She at least has some clock parts.

Thanks - you mean the Steampunk things, right?  They are big, I was hoping to get something a bit smaller, that would look like lots of different parts, not just a couple of cogs and the hands for the face - I tried editing these and it was not a happy sight.

What about Cel/Luna's steampunk stuff? Can any of it be edited for little parts? Been a while since I've looked at it.

Not available for commercial, sadly.

Ahhh. How big do you need them? And do you need them so they look like they are lying on a table? Can't promise anything, just wondering in case I get the itch to play around today.

I don't know if you are interested but I have made this grandfather clock (taking some graphics from Celuna's steampunk graphics)

It's in a 96x96grid

@Kanax

Thank you for your kind offer, but I do need them as parts, not as a working clock - I have an NPC who is on the verge of inventing his world's first clock, but he hasn't done it yet.

I think I am correct in saying that you are not allowed to post edits based on paid-for resources on the public thread.  If that is correct, then you might want to consider editing your post to take them out.

That's correct. The steampunk tiles are a little different, since they're free to use unless the game is commercial, but the terms of use don't allow you to post edits. Kanax, I edited your post to remove the clock, please be more careful about the other artist's wishes when you make edits.

Thanks Grandma, yes, I can edit a couple of his icons into what will pass for gears.

You're right - licensing for bits and pieces is tricky, and buying commercial licenses for everything starts getting hugely expensive.

Couple hours of work. Might use in my game as a secret find or something. Not sure. Fancy though no? :D
Holy stink, where have I been? Well, I started my temporary job this week. So less time to spend on game design... :(
Cartoonier cloud cover that better fits the art style, as well as (slightly) improved blending/fading... fading clouds when there are larger patterns is still somewhat abrupt for some reason.
Do you Find Tilesetting or Looking for Tilesets/Plugins more fun? Personally I like making my tileset for my Game (Cretaceous Park TM) xD
