This is another topic that means a fair bit to me.

Do we have any Game collectors within the community?, I personally collect SNES and Mega Drive/Genesis Games although I have consoles galore ranging from old Acorn electrons/Ataris upwards to the current generation.

Im currently working my way through the PAL list (I have a selection of around 60/70 NTSC carts and a few JP carts/Boxed).

The games list is sitting at around the 350 mark atm with Ebay continuing to produce some gems.

If I collect anything, it's RPGs. I like to get my hands on many RPG series and play them through until completion. I own the entire Persona series (well, the second half of Persona 2 will be in my possession when it is released on PSP soon), as well as Suikoden 1-5, Wild Arms 1-5, Final Fantasy 1-13 (Not 13-2 yet though), Breath of Fire 1-4 (need to get my hands on a copy of 5). There are so many other series I need to pick up, but need the $$ for it.

I have still yet to play the Persona series, a friend has went on about them for some time so I am probably going to download them from PSN sometime soon.

A couple of RPGs I'd highly recommend you get hold off would be Tales of Symphonia (GC) and Illusion of Time (I believe this is called Illusion of Gaia in the US) on the SNES.

I'd avoid 13-2 like the Plague though, the Final Fantasy series really has taken a turn for the worse ever since 10 was released.

I have Tales of Symphonia (GC) sitting in my drawer waiting for me to finish my PS1/2 games. Illusion of Gaia I played back in the day when I was a kid, so I have been exposed to its awesomeness.

Persona is a great series, 1 and 2 are basic RPG fare, but Persona 3 is the best. Persona 4 is also good (My avatar is one of the characters from P4).

Symphonia is one of my Top 3 RPGs of all time - personally I'd rate all the Tales games above Final Fantasy by a long with (Excl 6 and 9.... Maybe 7 :D ).

The "sequel" to Illusion of Gaia is also worth a play - "Terranigma".

Same here, I have a hard time turning down any RPG, I have all final fantasies minus the latest sequal, xenosagas, tales of, wild arms, ect. Though I don't really care if its mint or new, I'll go bargain shopping if its something I am missing or if it just looks interesting.

I'm personally not a perfection collector, but I definitely love collecting in particular, PSone and SNES games mainly. I've also started a Dreamcast one since I missed it in the heyday. So close, even had a Toys R' Us pre-order for the thing, but we never picked it up for some reason.

I think I'm more a collector of certain series. I love whenever I can find some classic SNES RPG merch and games especially. Right now, I'm on a Harvest Moon pre-order plush collection kick.

I try to collect official walkthrough guides, no matter how crappy they might be. I still have a working SNES, so I tend to collect games for that as well, even though I haven't played it in a while.

SNES seems to be the heavy favourite for collectors, The large production of the games tends to keeps prices for Carts fairly low.

I collect many games, as a matter of fact my collection should be pushing around 250 by now with how many great games I have been able to locate and add to my ever growing hoard of love. XD I don't collect all that much SNES, because they are hard to store, rather I like collecting PS1, PS2, GBA, PSP, Gamecube, DS, and... yeah I suppose it's slowly creeping into PS3 as well, but that has been rougher. My collection is at its largest with the PS1 and PS2.

My pride and joys of my collection is Suikoden II, Wild ARMS, Tales of Destiny, Star Ocean 2, Radiant Historia, and Lufia II. Though there's a bunch more in my collection, I tend to try to quality control it to nostagic reasons or JRPGs. Some western rpgs have been creeping in... buuutttt there's only one that I really really enjoyed (DA:o).

One day I shall have you Arc the Lad. One day. BI

I would call myself more of a hoarder than a collector. I tend to buy games quite a lot with the intent on playing them or just to have the feeling of owning it and never get around to putting the game in the machine. It's not good for my wallet but it's great for my heart!

I want to say yes I do collect games, but... Problem is that my collection consists of relatively obscure games that tend to shine in one aspect.

Reason being, I like the feeling of claiming discovery of something special. Makes me feel all warm and fuzzy.

Huge collector here, me and my brother together actually, at last count our collection was around 730 and that was two years ago, since then I know we've bought probably 50+ games, so I'm sure we're closing in on the 800 mark if not passed it. We have games ranging from the Atari 800, NES, Gameboy, Master System, Turbo Grafx 16, all the way to the newest 3 systems.

This collection also does not count my PC collection of about 30-50 games.

Our pride pieces are Phantasy Star I-IV, Panzer Dragoon Saga (mint), and every Suikoden game that has come to America. We also have copies of all the Final Fantasy games that came to America.

We've been collecting for over 10 years now, not to mention we never liked getting rid of our games when we were younger, so even before we decided to become collectors we had a good amount of Sega Master System and Genesis games.

I collect good old games and old consoles in good state. I mean I like when there are original boxes, polystyrenes, books... :D

I've got:

- a Ninja Turtles NES pack (complete pack, even the promotional poster! :D )

- a Mario All Stars + Mario World SNES pack (complete too)

- a Nintendo 64 (without a lot of things, and the pack is in a bad quality, but at least I've got box and polystyrene!)

- a Wii (in perfect quality - ok, it's not spectacular )

- Zelda 1, Zelda 3, Zelda OoT and Zelda MM in good qualities

- some Wii games...

I don't know if it's really interesting but here is pictures of my SNES and my Zelda 3:

Couple hours of work. Might use in my game as a secret find or something. Not sure. Fancy though no? :D
Holy stink, where have I been? Well, I started my temporary job this week. So less time to spend on game design... :(
Cartoonier cloud cover that better fits the art style, as well as (slightly) improved blending/fading... fading clouds when there are larger patterns is still somewhat abrupt for some reason.
Do you Find Tilesetting or Looking for Tilesets/Plugins more fun? Personally I like making my tileset for my Game (Cretaceous Park TM) xD
