Collision detection issue

I've only been using RPG Maker XP for a few weeks now. I've created my first map and I've found an issue with collision detection not working for layer two tiles, but the same tiles work as collision points on layer 3. I suppose I could just change them to layer 3, but then I would have to rearrange my map to make everything look good, and I like the way it is now. Is there anything I can do to make collisions work on layer 2 as well? Thanks for your response in advance.

This is most likely a priority issue - on each tile, you have three passability setting, one on each layer (theoretically, if you placed something on that layer).

If a position has several tiles placed on it, one takes priority over the others. And that includes invisible tiles that are not set to star or something similiar...

Collision/Passability should work on all layers. If it doesn't it probably means that you put an invisible tile on layer 3 that's taken priority over the layer 2 tiles.

Thanks so much for a response on this issue, and so fast! :D  So I understand what the issue is then. I've been using invisible tiles to delete other tiles that I didn't like. How would I go about removing those invisible tiles? And is there a better way of deleting tiles I don't want without having this issue again?

if that is the case, you used the wrong invisible tile for deletion.

You should only use invisible tiles that are set to star passability for erasion, because if you use an invisible tile with a blocking or passing passability, you will force that passability in addition to erase the tile.

The only solution: every place where you placed the wrong invisible tile, you need to place one of the correct invisible tiles again.

Thanks for your response. I managed to finally find that information elsewhere. Apparently my work search engine works better than my home one, lol! But anyway, you guys have been awesome in helping me! Much appreciated. On to creating!

(And yeah, found a post that says it states how to erase tiles without having that screw up in the manual. D'oh! :p)

Holy stink, where have I been? Well, I started my temporary job this week. So less time to spend on game design... :(
Cartoonier cloud cover that better fits the art style, as well as (slightly) improved blending/fading... fading clouds when there are larger patterns is still somewhat abrupt for some reason.
Do you Find Tilesetting or Looking for Tilesets/Plugins more fun? Personally I like making my tileset for my Game (Cretaceous Park TM) xD

The development never ends as the developer thinks to be the smart cookie by coming back and beginning by saying... "Oh bother, this indie game has been long overdue..." How could one resist such?
