Hey!!

I found 2 plugins that do this but they're both defunct as far as I can tell :(

It displays Type error: line.match is not a function

What I want -
I would like to be able to increase a variable when a weapon is equipped, and decrease that variable when un-equipped.

The why:
I created a whole new, massively simplified battle system, because I don't want my game to be so battle-focused. You don't enter a different screen to battle, you just battle with the sprite with IF-THEN conditions. My character's HP is a variable under this system, and their attack power or "battle power" is too. I want to be able to give the player swords that increase their attack power, but it has to be able to increase it as a variable since I'm not actually using the default MV battle system.
I could achieve this simply by increasing the attack-power on giving the weapon, but I want the buff removed when the weapon is unequipped so there's my problem.

I guess I could make the swords consumable items that call on common events, and then give them 99 every time they find "one", but that seems a little ridiculous x'D
Edit: thought of a second way... I can give them the weapon, then make it only apply the buff if they "practice with weapon" by interacting with a scarecrow or something, which I can make call upon a common event. That'll be my workaround until there's a plugin :)

they both should work, the send one works best if you queue it with this plugin "Tsukihime's CommonEventQueue"

to make them both work or either one of the, make sure your plugin data base is are in the correct order.
Mixed up and it wont show up or gives errors.

Maybe a screenshot of your plugin database might help us more as well for the event you tried to use to
find the mistake for you.

find the mistake for you.
The 2nd one had other users in the thread commented that it doesn't work after an MV update, so I think that one is not good anymore.
The first one, by Waynee95 - well, I attached a picture of what launching the game does while that plugin is "ON." It's the last plugin in my list. I tried moving it to the top of the list too, it does the same thing.
This is without manipulating anything within the plugin, just installed it and this is the effect

You could just use the default MV configuration where adding a sword adds to your actor's Attack stat and use a script call to get the value to use in your calculations as opposed to a variable. It should be something like ...

$gameActors[1]._params[0]

I'm going off the top of my head here but it should be something close to this assuming there's only one actor.

2nd one doesn't make sense because you need to click the console there.

Also your plugin is out of order and also missing "WAY_Core" plugin and also Yanfly CoreEngine.
You need to put them in the correct order in order to get them to work. missing plugins wont work
because they get things draw out of it in order to work.

Ohhhhh I need the core engines. That makes sense. Will download and re-try!

Okay it worked now!! They were't out of order, I just needed the Core plugin like you said :) Thank you so much!!!

anytime :) Look also carefully if you use plugins. 95% of all plugins need thier core plugin in order to work.
if its require the core, make sure to install it :)
