I just had to swap the files for my game from one computer to another. I won't go into details into why, that wasn't the problem. See, everything works perfectly fine after the transfer...except for the music. For some reason the music will not work on this computer I'm using. When I check the music itself it simply says I don't have a sound device installed, which is weird because I can hear things just fine. If anyone could help that would be great. All music files are for RPG Maker 2003Oh_Dear.PNG

Have you tried updating your audio drivers?
Does this happen with other audio files?

I noticed on your project that you are using .ogg files. .ogg is not compatible with RM2k3 and doesn't normally play on Windows Media Player either (you need a special WMP plugin to play them).

Maybe that's the cause? o_O

Maybe. But, almost all the songs I use are the ones from the RTP. If that's the case then the RTP is broken.

Could you clarify this?
All music files are for RPG Maker 2003
Are the music files from RPG Maker 2003 and you're using them in a different maker?
Are the music files for RPG Maker 2003 and from different version of RPG Maker?
Or are the music files for and from RPG Maker 2003?

RPG Maker 2003 uses .mid as far as I know, so I'm a little confused.

can you play MIDI automatically or will your windows need a synthesizer program?

The problem here is that MIDI is not an audio format - it never was. It is a notation format, and as such it cannot be played directly unless your sound card driver contains a MIDI synthesizer.

I have no idea the specs of this. It's a tablet I got that's able to run windows 10 like a laptop.

This sounds like its your audio codec..
Midi is a way of gathering audio information like tone, length, pressure, tempo.. etc.
You can use software like audacity to convert the midi file to a .ogg file but it wont have the effect you want, as it will just be piano sounds.
That being said, if you open a midi file will it play in windows media player?
If not, that means your midi synthesizer is either missing, out of date or your midi file is corrupt which can happen.

None of the music files that came with it work. But any normal music that isn't midi that I have DOES work. I'm guessing that means the Synthesizer is bad right?

yes
I'll show you the difference between MIDI and audio.
MIDI is a computer-based notation format. This link will show you the equivalent of a human-based notation format:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Musical_notation#/media/File:Bachlut1.png

In both cases you'll need a synthesizer (computer-based or human-based) to get audio from it. The human-based synthesizer is of course usually called "musician" and both (computer or human) can come in different qualities.
But you can't get music out of a notation without that synthesizer and its instruments.
And that synthesizer is what is either missing or misconfigured on your new computer

Just beat the last of us 2 last night and starting jedi: fallen order right now, both use unreal engine & when I say i knew 80% of jedi's buttons right away because they were the same buttons as TLOU2 its ridiculous, even the same narrow hallway crawl and barely-made-it jump they do. Unreal Engine is just big budget RPG Maker the way they make games nearly identical at its core lol.
Can someone recommend some fun story-heavy RPGs to me? Coming up with good gameplay is a nightmare! I was thinking of making some gameplay platforming-based, but that doesn't work well in RPG form*. I also was thinking of removing battles, but that would be too much like OneShot. I don't even know how to make good puzzles!
one bad plugin combo later and one of my followers is moonwalking off the screen on his own... I didn't even more yet on the new map lol.
time for a new avatar :)
