In rmxp I could select a part of a map, cut it and paste it somewhere else. This came in handy when i misjudged the size of a map for example. It looks like this function doesn't exist anymore in MV?

You can shift the map by X/Y cells (right click on the map name, shift). Also if you maintain the right click button it selects a part of the map. You can copy that same part elsewhere by left clicking after this.

Sadly that feature doesn'tt exist anymore.

You can use the Shift feature which moves the whole map though, but it doesn't quite work the same,

You can copy the tiles holding down the right mouse key and then move it. Then just left click to place it.

have you tried right clicking, then left clicking in the new area? it won't cut, but it will paste

Actually, it's not quite the same thing... Right clicking is eyedropper functionality, and will only set the active brush to whatever is right clicked on.  However I do not believe it'll copy all layers and allow you to paste it elsewhere, it only sets the current tile brush.

It copies all the layers. You can just create one patch, right-click + drag to select it, and that's basically copy/paste.

Yup, it works pretty well once you understand how it functions. Still a bigger fan of the XP function though :)

Our latest feature is an interview with... me?!

People4_2 (Capelet off and on) added!

Just beat the last of us 2 last night and starting jedi: fallen order right now, both use unreal engine & when I say i knew 80% of jedi's buttons right away because they were the same buttons as TLOU2 its ridiculous, even the same narrow hallway crawl and barely-made-it jump they do. Unreal Engine is just big budget RPG Maker the way they make games nearly identical at its core lol.
Can someone recommend some fun story-heavy RPGs to me? Coming up with good gameplay is a nightmare! I was thinking of making some gameplay platforming-based, but that doesn't work well in RPG form*. I also was thinking of removing battles, but that would be too much like OneShot. I don't even know how to make good puzzles!
one bad plugin combo later and one of my followers is moonwalking off the screen on his own... I didn't even more yet on the new map lol.
