Hello. I'm just another RPG Maker user who is off to make a game with a vision that probably won't be fully realized by myself. So, here I am hoping to find a volunteer or two.
Game Synopsis
The game... which name I have yet to decide on... is an RPG Adventure game with a unique selling point as a mix between WRPGs and JRPGs. To be more precise: it will include a battle system often used by JRPGs while having skill-based interactions commonly seen in WRPGs. The theme, as you can tell from the topic title, is modern-styled with science fiction included as well.
The setting takes place in 2087, where technology such as complex combat robots and artificially created life-forms are not only possible but common use. While life is more convenient, such convenience is used by groups with malicious intent. Aware of the dangers advanced tech can be in the wrong hands, the government has created a task force capable of handling these problems in enemy lines. These people just so happen to be the main characters.
So you have eight characters to choose from, and you need to pick half of them to go on missions. Each character has their own combat ability and passive ability. For example, the agent of the team is good at attacking fast while her skills with deception can get past guards without raising the alarm.
Since I'm pretty sure everyone knows what to expect from an RPG Maker combat system, I'll go into detail about what to expect from non-combat gameplay. I want to make the game to have a lot of replay value, so it will be possible to get experience points outside of killing enemies such as finding important intel or entering hostile territory through a hidden passage. There will also be obstacles that will effect your characters as well, like traps that are invisible until you step on them.
Apologizes if this information might not be enough. Most of the details are still a work in progress and I think it's better to say things I doubt I could do or want to do.
What I'm Looking For
Honestly I'm not that picky in that regards. Just having someone helping out with the work load is what I need to complete the project. The minimum requirements are pretty much being able to have time to work on this and being able to communicate on what your progressing on.
Oh, I should probably mention I plan on using the RPG Maker DS assets to make this game. I don't know if this worth mentioning or not, but its better to be safe than sorry.
