Countdown moves

Ive been looking around and i cant seem to find a way to make a countdown move. Im not sure what the equivelent would be from final fantasy, I think from some of the older games would be like mega flare from bahamut something like that. However, during this time im wanting the count down to happen based on player turns, instead of enemy turns. By that I mean whenever a action happens from a player or the boss, a countdown timer pops up showing how long is left.

Is this requiring a script or does it need a specific setup for a attack within the settings? Thanks

I suppose this can also be used for character skills too.

Oh, and setting a status to lower all characters hp to exactly 1, while lets say destroying all items and magic. kind of like a final stance as well as having the boss only execute certian moves after casting that.

I think you should explain this in more detail - there are several plugins that change display to for example display how long a state is left, but I'm not sure that is what you want.

So please describe in RM-terms (don't bother comparing it to other games) when you want the countdown to start, what it should count and what should happen if it ends.

So what im wanting, im wanting to happen after a certian point of time during a fight, once a boss gets down to 10% health or so, I want him to initiate this move. Lets call this move death for simpleflication.

Once the boss reaches 10% health, conversation happens, and he casts death which has a countdown of 12 actions. So that means after 12 actions from the player (the boss will not make any moves during this casting) the move will cast. After each action a player makes with any character, (attack, heal, item, defend ect.) the countdown will go down by 1, starting from 12. once countdown reaches 0, death is cast.

All players will be brought to 1hp, no matter what their def or hp was prior, all mp is depleted, and all items will be unusable till the battle ends. (this may affect the boss as well down to 4hp) and while still alive, the player has only enough time to do 4 attacks, (each attack dealing 1 point of damage) if the player survives the boss will die.

I hope i explained that good enough.

Ah is this a script itself? This is new to me. hmm, thank you, if im reading this right, itll set all skills and hp to 1 i beleive? or is this for the actual countdown?

To make things that are just slightly more complicated than default you need 2 plugins:

yanfly Skill Core
yanfly Buff and States Core

What you quoted set the counter to 12 so each action you do reduce the counter by 1, then at 0 the boss will force an action.

No, it is not - it is a notetag to control a plugin , and @lolshtar completely forgot to tell you which plugins you need to install to make this workable, because by default, placing this in the skill notetag (or any other notetag) does exactly nothing.

EDIT: Ninja'd, he gave that info at the same time I was writing
