Is it possible to have a countdown timer that activates a game over even while ex. you are in the middle of talking to someone? I understand how to create the countdown timer and it does work. However if the game is in the middle of displaying text messages when the timer is 0, the game over only occurs after the messages finish. I want it to interrupt the messages instead of waiting until they are over.

If we talk about it being possible, there are at least three ways to do it that come to my mind. However, non of them can be achieved without using a script. The easiest would probably be activating a certain switch when the timer is on and use that switch in the Graphics.update method to call the game over scene if the timer is 0.

The only thing that might be achieved with events is using a parallel process to forcibly close the message window and then trigger the game over screen, but I am not 100% sure that something like that would work.

Alright thanks, I'll to make a post in script requests, but concerning your parallel process solution how would you forcibly close the message window?

Our latest feature is an interview with... me?!

Just beat the last of us 2 last night and starting jedi: fallen order right now, both use unreal engine & when I say i knew 80% of jedi's buttons right away because they were the same buttons as TLOU2 its ridiculous, even the same narrow hallway crawl and barely-made-it jump they do. Unreal Engine is just big budget RPG Maker the way they make games nearly identical at its core lol.
Can someone recommend some fun story-heavy RPGs to me? Coming up with good gameplay is a nightmare! I was thinking of making some gameplay platforming-based, but that doesn't work well in RPG form*. I also was thinking of removing battles, but that would be too much like OneShot. I don't even know how to make good puzzles!
