The following words were not included in your search because they are too short, too long, or too common: Bed
I was looking for bed tiles and this came up. So it's impossible to search for bed tiles? I don't see how this is helping anybody.

Now, now. No need to be passive-aggressive. If you just searched "bed" and not "bed tiles" then that might be where your problem stemmed from. It's not just this search engine that does it. Many others on different forums and the like do the same by default so that more precise search results can occur. Searching for 2-3 letter words can results in far too many irrelevant results because they might be embedded into words that have nothing to do with what you're searching for.

Try the method of looking for bed tiles instead and see if that helps.

Yes, limiting 3 letter words has always driven me insane. That's when I go to google. Just do something like "RPG Maker MV bed tiles" and it should work well. I know it's a pain to have to go to google, but it's something.

I did search for "bed tiles." Funny thing is, I was just now searching for "bunk bed," and it said the same thing, and yet it still searched for the "bed" part...
It's not just this search engine that does it. Many others on different forums and the like do the same by default so that more precise search results can occur.
The fact that other forums do it doesn't really justify it.
Searching for 2-3 letter words can results in far too many irrelevant results because they might be embedded into words that have nothing to do with what you're searching for.
I'm not 100% sure what you're trying to say here, but couldn't that be remedied by simply requiring the word to be isolated or only one or two letters added to it? I know even that system wouldn't work very well, but I still think that the consequences outweigh the benefits here. It's impossible to search for "bed". (except that searching "bunk bed" randomly worked...)
Try the method of looking for bed tiles instead and see if that helps.
The method? What's that?

In other words the method I had said which was looking for bed tiles. However, you are right. Didn't work, but I found something that did:

"furniture tiles"

You may not always find beds in those tilesets, but it's a good start and you can use the forum search engine rather than using Google.

Yeah, I'm just not sure it is something that can be changed about the forum software.

just use mlogan's method. Your "bunk bed" search may not have given you an error, but it would only have searched for "bunk", not "bed", as 3 letter words (or shorter) are ignored.

Did you search while in this thread? I did my search from the main page. If you search while viewing a thread, you'll only get results from that thread.

Derp. Well, it was funny while it lasted.

Edit: Well, my search is proving fruitless. Looks like I'm going to have to request... (Don't worry I'll do it in another thread)

Funny you should mention this. I tried to search for Pit Trap the other day and got the same thing because Pit is only 3 letters long, I assume.

Just realized, there would be an extremely simple fix for this. Next to the "The following words were not included in your search because they are too short, too long, or too common: X," there should be a button that says, "Search for X anyway." Boom. Done fixed everybody's happy.

@Nutty171 No, sadly, not done, fixed. Apart from having to re-write a very significant part of the forum software, I don't think you've looked at the consequences of this from a wider perspective.

For example, putting in RTP as your 3 letter word would bring up several thousand posts for you to search through - after the search engine has spent a huge amount of time looking for it and probably slowed some aspect of the forum down to do so. Bed, not so many, but if you allow one 3-letter word, you have to allow all 3-letter words, including "and", "the" and "are", for example. I know of no forum which has 3-letter searches because having a couple of those going on at the same time would probably freeze the search engine for anyone else.
