I am looking for Character, Face, and Battler parts for a Western themed game I am working on in MV.
At the moment, I am looking for three different types of hat:
The top hat

The bowler hat

And the fedora

If anyone can make one or all of these that I could use in the generator, I would be much obliged. ;)

Um, just FYI, back then the fedora was only worn by women.

That guy is definitely wearing a woman's hat. I always thought the wider-brimmed fedoras were men's hats though.

Pretty sure that he was referring to the homburg, not the fedora. The fedora didn't show up until the 1890's, the tail end of the old west. Also as at @Sharm pointed out the fedora wasn't worn by men until the roaring 20's. (In fact, if I remember correctly, the fedora was a symbol of the women's voting movement at some point)

I'm sorry guys. I'm still new here. Isn't this the resource request forum? This is sounding more like the peanut gallery.

The software comes with a default "cowboy hat" which I can edit on my own. I am looking for additional hats for variation on characters. I really don't care what your opinion is about these hats or what time period you think they belong in. Quit junking up my thread.

@Mrs_Allykat:
Homburg is fine. I am just looking for something with the smaller brim, so it doesn't look exactly like the wider brim hat that's already in the generator.

@DarthKreggles , please avoid double posting, as it is against the forum rules. You can use the "Edit" function on your posts to add additional information you've forgotten or respond to multiple people. You can review our forum rules here. Thank you.

Please just edit your post if you have something else to add. As for your request, I know there are some hats floating around the resource section but I don't think there are any exactly like your examples.

Look, it's fine if you want to put an anachronistic hat in your game, no one cares. I really was trying to be helpful, there was no need to be rude about it. Here's a the only time appropriate picture I could find, BTW. I figure if an artist picks up your request they might want it.

If you're just looking for variety, what about a bolero? Very western, worn by men and women at the time, doesn't look anything like the others you already have.

Bolero would work. Here is an example that I like of that one:

It's flatter on top than the stetson.
@Sharm, no intention to be rude to you. Sorry if I came off that way. I'm just looking for resources or suggestions of alternatives, and I don't want the thread getting lost in a discussion over when the fedora was first used or whether or not the dude in the picture looks like he is wearing a girls hat.
Further, I am not making a game that is set in XXXX year of the old West in America, just an old West theme.

@slimmmeiske2 That sounds great, but I can't seem to find them. Could you post a link to the page where the hats are?

Found it thanks. I already have my own edit of the included hat similar to Rhino's. I had missed the one in hiddenone's stuff, which actually looks just like the one on Lee Van Cleef above. That one will be really helpful. I'm still looking for a top hat and a bowler. Straw hats would be helpful too.

Anyone seen a lady's bonnet around somewhere?

There are a couple "steampunk" characters that could double as "western" characters in the Season Pass Train DLC. I know it's not generator stuff, but it's something! :)

@M.I.A. Is that through Steam? I've seen pictures of the train from that, but I couldn't find it in the products section.

@slimmmeiske2 I have a Steam account. Do you know if I purchase the DLC can I use it with the standalone version of the game?

@DarthKreggles You need to own the Steam version of MV to be able to buy the DLC (that's just how Steam works). But since you bought the standalone version, your product key also functions as a Steam key. Just add it to your Steam profile and you'll be able to buy the DLC.
Afterwards you can use it in your standalone version.
